I'm over in England right now and just wanted to say great job to all the US fans in the house. The crowd came across as audibly pro-US on the Sky broadcast, despite all the England and UK flags. Looked like London but sounded like Chicago. The cheers after Dempsey's goal were MUCH louder than after either of England's, and the "You suck!" chants at James on his goal kicks were clearly audible. Great job.

That's interesting because on the ESPN broadcast, I heard a lot more from the England fans than the US fans. Of course England were winning, but it seemed to me the English fans were much louder than the US fans overall. To me it looked and sounded more like a match in England. It must be due to where the field mics were placed.

It looked like it because of the red/white mixes and England flags.

I don't know about you but I think we should do the flags like them, so I will probably bring 10 to Germany.

Our 5' US flag looks pretty vulnerable by itself at the top left corner of that sea of English flags in HSV Hooligan's photo (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5081543&postcount=11). I was definitely impressed with England's fans' quantity of flags.

How do they make all those England banners? Is it white sheets and paints? Do they pay a company to do it? Looks like a simple enough design to use a bedsheet, but the letters look really good.

We obviously can't do the same here with American flags, but all those banners make it look like we were more outnumbered than we really were.

I know there is at least one company in England that advertises that they make flags... but I don't know of the name.

I will have a few 3x5s in Germany but we need some big ones to line along the rails.
