yeah... it was a beaut... curled top corner... wonderful goal, but the problem is that to earn the freekick johnson dived.

Oh COME ON! Johnson doesn't play for us (or Arsenal, I guess), therefore he cannot be a diver. It must have been Richardson's fault.

eh I wouldn't say he dove but he did take full advantage of minimal contact from over the back.

Donovan COMPLETELY beats James on a freekick in the 20' and hits the inside of the far post which gets cleared out. Donovan goes down in the box on a challege but no call (didn't see it well). A minute later Joe Cole has a great strike saved by Keller.

Certainly was a Calamity moment... not a clue why he didn't just go up to catch it.

Nah, he's just deciding whether to go for Pope or McBride...he'll make his move in the 42nd minute.

Twice. One from behind lol... Jenas crosses to Richardson who tries a volley but doesn't quite catch it right and goes well wide.

Richardson scuffs a chance on the volley, but he's making his presence very much felt. From no left wingers to Cole, Downing and possibly Richardson in a year... strange things, eh?

Have the U.S fans started that annoying and very unimaginative chant yet?

U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A  :D

Bah, that was merely a Scholes-level clobbering, he's yet to reach the heady heights of an Alan Smith clobbering - or maybe he's just waiting out to give Donovan the almighty Keano clobbering.

He went in on their No.2 about 10 minutes ago on the far touchline which I dont think the Yanks took too well to.

Twas only a light Smithy challange mind.

Pope with a cycnical foul on Jenas who looks a little hurt (nothing serious); gets a yellow.
