Then I probably shouldn't mention young Freddy Eastwood. He was released from the Academy last year as it was thought that he wouldn't make the grade.

Yesterday he put in a man of the match performance for Southend at the Millennium Stadium and earned them promotion to League One by scoring one and creating a second, both in extra time.

Surely he must be destined for the big time, just so that we can say 'If only....' once again.

My boy doesn't live with me Stomper, so if you'd be kind enough to give yours a clip round the ear on my behalf I'd very much appreciate it. ;)
