Lol heres another thread lol but we know the team for tomorow and i reckon we'll probably lose as we are sending a weak team (i know the USA isn't at full strength either) and the US players will be up for it and some of the england players might not be motivated for the game and they are at home and shouldn't be taken likey, it'd be nice if we can win (you can think was BS might be like if the US won eh? ) so much trolling and sh!t.

p.s Peter Crouch will show he's world class

what do yo think the odds are on him getting a hatrick? :D

Was a poor quality game.

I expected that from England with such a weak and inexperienced team playing in an end of season friendly away from home. The in-game injuries made it even harder. So for them to win and get a decent display from Richardson and a reasonable one from Carrick was about acceptable, although I hope this is the last "take the money and run" tour we see for a long time.

USA were poor, at home and with their players in mid-season they really didn't impress. Lots of running but poor technique and no organisation at the back, if England had put more balls over the top they would have scored even more.

Nice to see our 3rd or 4th string selections go over there for an end of season kickabout and win.
Sven only had about 2 days to organise the team so it wasnt a bad effort after such a long brutal domestic season. Players like carrick were on their last legs and didnt have anything left in the tank near the end.
-the pitch was terrible
-the ref was garbage
-we picked up 3 injuries during the game ,that caused some defensive headaches in the last 20 minutes when the yanks bagged their goal.

1)David James - 2nd choice keeper ,hopefully 3rd choice after this game.
2)Glen Johnson - 3rd choice RB behind neville and carragher
3)Sol campbell - 1st teamer ,but injured himself in the first 5 minutes of the game ,played injured till half time and also has barely played for 6 months.
4)Wes Brown - I reckon he is about 7th or 8th choice at centre back behind ferdinand ,campbell ,king ,carragher ,terry ,woodgate ,upson, southgate ,etc...
5)Ashley Cole - first teamer ,got injured in 2nd half .team was more exposed defensively after he went off.
6)Michael Carrick - I reckon this guy is third string selection in our overall player pool .He wouldnt even get in the B team of hargreaves ,dyer ,downing,SWP......let alone the A team.
7)Jermaine jenas - Another 3rd string selection.
8) Kieran Richardson- Great debut ,might now call him a B teamer .But started out as strictly a 3rd or 4th string choice.
9)Joe Cole - now a first teamer after recent good form.recently broke into starting 11.
10)Andy Johnson - This guy is like a 3rd of 4th string choice.not really international class.
11)- Alan smith - generally a B teamer.

subs -

12) zat knight - god only knows where this guy is in the pecking order for central defence .I reckon he must be E team at least.
13)Phil Neville - 3rd string utility player.
14)Luke young - similar kind of level to zat knight .way way down the pecking order .4th or 5th string choice.
15)Jermaine defoe - prolly the 3rd choice striker right now

Players absent....

defence
- Rio ferdinand ,Gary Neville ,jamie Carragher ,Ledley King ,John terry ,Wayne bridge ,Jon woodgate ,Matt upson ,Michael dawson ,Gareth Barry ,etc...

midfield - Beckham ,lampard ,gerrard ,SWP ,hargreaves ,dyer ,downing, butt ,parker ,etc......

attack - owen ,rooney ,vassell ,crouch

they can be thankful our main players didnt turn out.

Just finished watching the game this morning.

Good kick about...and thats about it really.
Nice to see the stadium full and a huge turn out of English fans, although, like me, i'd bet the vast majority were ex-pats and others who just wanted to see the US lose.

We never really got out of second gear and reverted to Svens usual tactic of the bloody long ball again .
Lots of tired legs for us and it showed as the game wore on and we let the US back into the game in the second half - still, it was only a kick about i suppose, no need to get too excited and do yourself a Summer injury.

As for the US?
Well, they certainly showed spirit i'll give them that, but, i've got to say, what the hell is all this fuss over Donovan about?.
Also, if they don't get more imagination in front of goal and a class out and out striker, they'll struggle to reach a height above their current punching weight.

All in all though, not a terribly bad game to watch - although, i did pass on watching it live to go to a holiday weekend party :D
