Hey there,
If you're arriving at Union Station, you will end up in a good part of the city not far from the sears tower. To see exactly where the station is, check out http://maps.google.com/. The address for Union station is 210 South Canal Street, in Chicago IL. Enter that into the space avaliable, and it will show you exactly where the station is. On the top right of the screen, click 'satellite' and it should give you a satellite photo of the area. This, hopefull, will help you see where things are around the city.
The best way to get to the stadium from there is to walk. Its about 2 miles, but its not so far. Take Adams street east, until you hit Michigan Aven. Keep going to the lakefront. Eventually, you will see Lakeshore drive. Just take a right ( so you turn south), and you will be headed straight towards the stadium. Soldier field is right on the lakefront, near the Adler Planitarium and Field Museum. You can't miss it; it is the stadium that looks like a spaceship landed on top of it.
If you see the 146 Bus, that drops you right off near the stadium. As for trains, I dont believe any train lines go right near the stadium. You could always take a cab, but that may cost you a little. As for places to meet fans, Im not sure of any. If you look around on the message boards, you're bound to find some meeting place.
Hope this helps.

Hey, I just found this on another board. You are bound to find some soccer fans at the Globe.
'Anybody up early on Saturday morning, there will be a few of us at the Globe Pub taking in the following games:
8am League 2 Playoff Final: Southend v Lincoln City (kickoff 9am)
9am Scottish Cup Final: Celtic v Dundee United
I'll be wearing a red US Soccer hat and a red Nats Jersey. We'll be headed straight to the Barnburner's Tailgate by subway after the game.
The Globe is at 1934 W. Irving Park Rd. (4000N) in Lakeview just east of N. Damen Ave. (2000W)—near to Wrigley Field. (www.theglobepub.com)'
