Ugh, he's a decent coach too. Why would he want to move to North Jersey?

Isn't that where he's from? He was coach of Princeton and his brother always makes Jersey references in his ESPN mag articles.

I'd hate to see Bradley leave Chicago, but if he did, this is a good fit. Finally the Metros would have a coach that can consistently win and maintain a stable clubhouse environment. He'd get that underachieving defense to snap into shape immediately. He'd play Mathis and Faria at forward and they'd score tons of goals.

The only things lacking for that team are in the midfield. Brad Davis is solid, but Bradley would move to a 352 and need 4 more new midfielders. He'd get at least one true ballwinner and an attacking playmaker in the center.

This would really make the Atlantic Cup a heated piece of hardware. I think United will have the same good defending they did at the end of the year and add a healthy dose of finishing.

The league needs a strong New York presence, and I think Bradley brings that. As much as I'd hate to see him leave Chicago, it's probably the right thing to do. Also, I'd feel a lot better about Sarachan in Chicago than in New York.

Frankly though, what the New York media needs is Hudson. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that.

Well, we'll see whether this happens or not, but I guess the rumors had more teeth than I suspected.

This rivalry just got hotter, and I like it.

Well the Metros think the compensation will be Rodrigo Faria, here's the link to their thread:

Oh joy! Now the MetroStars will be riddled with injuries. They're sure to fail yet again! ;)

Yeah but Nat call ups? I don't even wanna know.

Looks like Bradley is a genius though. He knows that the Fire are going to be dismanted this offseason and doesn't want to be around for the rebuilding year(s).

Still this stinks of league backroom deals. AEG needs a successful team in NY, so they move Bradley over there.

I just don't know sometimes. Luckily we'll still beat the Metro!

The recent wave of DC United-Metrostars inbreeding continues...when will it ever end?!

Oh, well...Bob, we like you, but we're gonna beat you.

Well, the Scum really aren't primed for an MLS Cup run either.

I buy the "getting out of Dodge" theory someone mentioned above.

Supposively, neither were the Revs, Earthquakes or Wizards of the last 3 years.

well, the revs were gifted this year's roster, and SJ was given Donovan.

And the Wizards won it on merit.

Still, my heart sank when I read that the Metros are getting not just a decent coach, but a really good one.

Ah, heck, Ray can sure out-talk Bradley.

A laugh from the past:

"In 1998, the New England Revolution gave up a first-round pick to the Tampa Bay Mutiny to sign coach Thomas Rongen. Coincidentally, the general manager of the Mutiny at that time was Nick Sakiewicz, who is the MetroStars' general manager"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That will get you contracted!

If Bradley and Sakwieiaiaslvjzx;lkasdf;klj don't get along, does this mean that we may finally see Sacajewaiawitz get the boot? That guy seems like a menace. Don't get me wrong, I like the way he mismanages the Metrostars. But, they might actually get rid of him.

I think you are forgetting Andy Williams in the metros midfield..as much as I hate to say it, he is one of the best playmaking midfielders in MLS. He tore up teams this year.
