Excluding the Glazer business what was the worst thing to happen this year?

For me, as most of you know it was Liverpool winning the Champions League. I pretty much was able to stomach Chelsea winning the EPL as they did have the best luck this year to win it. And after beating the Arse a few times recently we were due a loss. But the scousers winning the CL? Man, that's the worst.

For me it's fecking arsenal beating us in a game they didn't diserve to win. I've got a few mates who support liverpool so i've gotta be happy for them, although after a few days gloating i prob won't feel the same

Not looking competitive in games against elite teams, like Milan and Chelsea (at the end of the season).

Its only Ray Parlour

Wash your mouth out. Redissue is still down after yesterday's events.

Its too hard to choose. I think because of the sequence in which it happened, Liverpool winning the CL had to be the worst. It happened after I was just thinking to myself, things couldn't possibly get worse than this. And they did :(

The commie brigade deserved to win but damn if it doesn't piss me off to see Morono with his freakin smirk with the cup...

And don't get me started on those scouse bastards and their cheap ass win!!!!!

FA CUP, i can't believe some of you chose the liverpool CL win, jeez man, get over it, that was a competition we got screwed out of on our behalves. Liverpool played it better than we did. We had control of the league and the Cup and we ********ed up, thats what we should really be pissed about.

FA Cup final, by far - especially painful for me, as I flew to Cardiff to see it.

Why can't we be happy an English team has won the Champions League?

You can both be happy that an English team won the Champions League and bitter because it was the scousers who did it. The fact that it was the scousers, heavily outweighs the joy of an English team winning for me.

Losing the league is the worse. Eventhough Liverpool won the CL, I will ,hopefully, have the enjoyment of them not being it next year!! :p

Being as that winning the league is always our top priority, I don't see how anybody could vote for losing in the FA Cup Final. But that's just me...

Maybe it was the most disappointing day in the season, next to going out against Milan, but losing the league is the worst thing to happen this year....

Because we're not all English.

i voted FA final because we saw chels getting the prem title from a mile away. the cup was our last hope, and we got robbed. now that you mention it, losing the prem is worse, but we kind of brought that on ourselves what with all the slip-ups.

ps - constant "life is so miserable" threads popping up was not an option, or i might have voted for it instead.

Winning the league is more important, but as you said, it was coming all year long due to continual slip ups and poor form. Losing to the Arse in a game Utd totally dominated, was a far worse experience.

"Excluding Glazer..." What a question!

"Ah, yes, but aside from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

I know what you mean about the league - its just that we knew we wouldnt win the league ages ago, and we've come to terms with it. But you're right, that doesn't mean that it isn't the worst thing to happen.

Something confuses me though:
If you're not English, and you're not pleased that an English team won the CL, then why do you hate scousers so much to begin with? Doesn't seem right to me; I'd think that if you weren't English, you wouldn't harbor intense hatred for "scousers". Just a thought, I guess I wouldn't really know in the end.

If you've been a United supporter as long as I have, you would know why.

I can only try to have some idea of what it was like before.

"You'll never win the League" --The Kop, 19th April 1992

Says it all. Singing such a pompous, arrogant song like that, how could we possibly ever cheer for them, even after proving them wrong so many times?

Well, I didn't say that to hang it over anybody's head. It's just simple history.

Why do we hate scousers? Let me count the ways...

Why do the Red Sox hate the Yankees?
