He he. Well worth the trip. Took my Norwegian girlfriend, who is a hammers fan because she likes working a bubble blowing machine!!!!!
My old friend Mick Mills met me at Stanstead airport. Nice drive over to Ipswich. Say what you like about football, but the beer is a lot better in Suffolk. A couple of GK's and I was ready for the game.
I was sitting in the guest section, but as a sign of respect to my hosts, I never wore my 1964 shirt. I did have a scarf tho'.
You've all read the reports, so I won't bore you with another one. Only some comments.
1. Our fans were unbelievable. Fantastic. So much noise. They outsung and outroared the Ipswich crowd from beginning to end.

2. Pardew got his tactics right, and Ipswich had no answer. When the goal never came in the first half hour their heads started to drop. You could see the doubt setting in.

3. The team played well and after the fist 30 mins seemed to have control. Everyone was praising Bobby Z, and rightly so, but my M.O.M was Fletch. Ran his legs off and his passing was good. Our second goal sealed it, and what a great goal it was. We played as a team too. Everyone talking to each other, lots of calling and giving advice.

4. The Ipswich fans?? I feel a little sorry for them. I never heard a bad word about us. Most of them wished me (us) luck in the final, and to a man said that we deserved the victory.

5. Final on the box for me. I will be wearing my shirt too. I had a great time and I'm still buzzing. I raised a glass of Single malt to you lot too. Hammers around the world. Tony.
