the official ECB site is suppose to have free daily highlights. for us US fans, best bet is to turn into SKySports News on FoxSoccerChannel, 7pm est as i am sure they will have some highlights shown.

Bangladesh 1st innings: 108 all out. Opener Javed Omar top scored with 22. Hoggard with the best bowling figures of 4-42.
England usually make hard work of games like this, expect a big Bangladesh second innings total!

I'd like to see the England batsmen bat as long as possible if they can stay in. Strauss got a few badly needed runs yesterday and people like Thorpe and Trescothick haven't exactly been setting the place alight at the start of the season.

Lunch Day 2, England 365-1. Trescothick on 165 and Vaughan on 103.

This session has been almost embarrasing. Bangladesh are atrocious and Tresco and Vaughan have put them to the sword with ease.

Vaughan is out now and Ian Bell is in. Hopefully Tresco can make a double ton.

England have decalred on 528/3, it looks like they're going to have a go at finishing it inside 2 days!

Bangladesh are now 90/5 at the close of play, England should look to finish it in the first session tomorrow. Hopefully Simon Jones will be given more of a bowl, as he has looked very good so far.

It's all over now, Bangladesh all out for 159.
This was the 9th largest winning margin ever of an innings and 261 runs.
Hopefully Bangladesh can raise their game a bit for the next test at Durham. No-one wants to see a test over in 2 and a bit days.

It was a mistake to admit Bangladesh to full test playing status.

damn right chandu!
that being said, it must have been somewhat fun to be a spectator at day 1 and 2. probably just like being at a ODI. its silly having a team like Bang having test status in the sense that the english players can all run up their run rate avg and their bowlers add easy wickets to their totals.
btw, for those like me who can't watch the game live, the highlights at ecb.co.uk are half decent.

There was an interesting piece in the Sunday Times yesterday about the way that games against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe had bumped up the averages of people like Steve Waugh and Waquar Younis.

You've got to be kidding me! Australia hardly ever gets to play against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, and thank goodness for that. Steve Waugh played just 3 matches against Zimbabwe where he scored 290 runs at an average of 145, and only the 2 matches against Bangladesh where he scored 256 runs without being dismissed.

Yep, and that took him from an average of 49 to about 52. That is a big leap for 5 games.
