US Soccer is now offering podcasts on its website (http://www.ussoccer.com/news/fullstory.sps?iNewsid=178459). And one of the first things up there is an interview with Conor Casey about what five discs he'd want to have with him on a deserted island.
1) Grateful Dead - American Beauty
He said he's a big Dead fan but didn't bring all of his Dick's Picks to Germany with him. Nico, it sounds like you could send the man a Dick's Picks care package.
2) Credence Clearwater Revival - Chronicle
His father used to listen to this album a lot. "Lodi" is his favorite tune on the disc.
3) Nirvana - Unplugged
He likes all of the previously unreleased tunes on it.
4) Eric Clapton - Unplugged
He belives Clapton is the best guitar player ever.
5) Bob Dylan - One of the greatest hits albums but he wasn't sure which
He then goes on to state that he's a bit of a hippie and his parents' musical tastes has had a big influence on his tastes.
The interview isn't anything staggering but still interesting to music/soccer fans.

Wow. Casey's friends probably think he's a real dork. My husband would find his musical taste impeccable.

Let him send me the ones I don't have. He's the professional athelete after all. I'm sure his paystubs are a bit more impressive than mine.
:D

I'm not a Clapton fan (though Cream is pretty good), but the rest of that is pretty solid.
