This time next week we could be back up in the prem, OR we could still be stuck in this poxy division, apart from the old line of Brown out! if we make it, who do you think is needed to keep us up, players that is, and any other comments about the possibility of promotion which you may have? me? I'm too chicken to say anything, but I think I'll need extra strong blood pressure pills come Monday, that or a stronger brew! ;)

Nervous as hell Brian! Just can't wait for Monday to come, the butterflies are getting worse the nearer we get. Have finally sorted out where I'm watching the match, it's a pub which I'd previously decided to boycott having seen us lose there on occasions too numerous to mention, but as it's recently been completely gutted and refurbished I've decided that the old demons and bad vibes have gone and it's safe to go back.

Also, I then remembered that the only time I'd seen us win there was our first match after relegation, away at.....

Preston! Now wouldn't that be a nice way of wrapping things up...

And WHEN we do go back up ;) , goes without saying it's absolutely essential that Brown parts with some of that money he's been greedily hoarding as we're going to be seriously lacking in some areas, especially the full back positions, what with losing Tommy and with Powell & Brevett getting on a bit. Of course the wish list is as long as your arm but being realistic I just hope there will be a decent amount to spend to strengthen - if nothing else we'll be saving a fortune on wages for a start.

Anyone here going to Cardiff btw? 147, SX, Norway?

Me and the lad are going - I got the tickets through Ticketmaster on Monday, they've charged me full (not concessionary) price for the boy but I was too scared to do anything about it until I had the tickets in my sweaty palm. Otherwise I could have seen them making some kind of balls up and cancelling the whole order!

Have ordered merchandise from the Official site (if that turns up in time I'll be amazed!)

So we're all set!!

The only debate now is whether we travel to Cardiff on Monday or whether to make a weekend of it with 'er indoors as well.

Woody is bouncing off the ceiling with excitement and I've got to say I'm pretty much of that persuasion myself.

I'll be in the pub too T. A big screen, food, beer and full of West Ham fans. It's not far away fron being at the Millennium Stadium is it? ;)

Brown has 'promised' 14 or 15 mill to improve the squad when we go up. My guess is that will include the money saved from the wages of Lomas, Dailly et al when their contracts expire.

The bit about the playoffs that súck is that the transfer window has already opened, moves are being made and we can't take part yet. The window should open the day after the play off final so that everyone gets a fair shout.

With that in mind I'm not going to speculate about who we should go for because they'll probably already be gone before 1st June.

I'll be staying at my mum's over the bank holiday. My sis is a Hammers supporter, I'll be wearing my Hammers T-shirt and my 5 year old son will be proudly wearing his West Ham away kit. It's gonna be tense and I must make sure I don't swear in front of my son (or my mum!). However these things tend to be a double-edged sword - they are as exciting as they are nerve-shredding.

Theresa, I sure hope you're spot on and that the Preston facts are an omen in our favour. Plus the fact that we owe them one for beating us twice this season. And the fact that Davies is already trying to shift the 'favourites' tag on to us is a sure sign that his boys are feeling the pressure. I just hope that the experience of 1 year ago is enough to inspire us to victory.

147 and Woody, have a great day, I'm so envious of you guys! I hope in the not-too-distant future to be taking my boy to see our beloved irons.

As regards the personnel required to keep us up (IF we make it) - I'd rather not say at present as old superstitions die hard. I have some ideas but it's not worth tempting fate until we know if we're Prem-bound or not.

Just one more huge effort lads, and we'll be back where we deserve to be.
COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!!

All superstitions, omens and all other mystical magics aside. I'll be praying to God for a win. Simple as that.

I wonder if Wigan will be willing to let Ellington or Roberts go, with them having about £25m (I think) to spend in players.

If they get hold of other good strikers they may do and I seem to recall an article on about Pardew being interested in Roberts.

Other than that all I can see coming our way is PL cast offs. Veterans and more once great players ruined by Spurms.

Monday is a holiday for us so I do not have to go to work. Not sure if that is a positive or a negative. I will just dwell on it all Sunday and Monday and by game time be a nervous wreck.

Still hoping for the FSC swoop but so far nothing on from Ollie at soccertv.com
