Judging by the squad being taken - it's starting to look like a 'C' team.
A US win is entirely feasible.

I dunno, for the USA it's just a friendly around qualifying and the Gold Cup. For the England B's it's a chance to become England A. We'd have a better shot against England A after the long season. They wouldn't push it.
That reasoning aside, I voted USA simply because I want to be positive about it.

Usa 2 Eng 0 then they're gonna want a rematch later this year or maybe next year. And when we win this time they're gonna say yeah its ok it was only our B C D E F......etc team it was a friendly and my all time favorite we were tired it was a long trip. Regardless the US will win and it'll piss all the brits off and then you hear em with their lowsey excusses.

It would be both funny and ironic if Sunday's headlines (one can hope for headlines) read that England won due to the overconfidence of the US and underestimation of the English. Maybe the only time such a headline would occur...at least this half of the century.

Who care if it is England's A, B or C team. The US has shown they can play with and beat the top teams in the world now. The only team that I think would be a slam dunk defeat for the US would be Brazil.

how come no option for a draw?
dont mean to rain on your parade but an England b team can still easily beat the USA.

You're really underestimating the quality of the England 'A' squad. A tired Rooney, Scholes, Beckham, & Co. would still be all the US could handle. And then some, probably.

It will be an embarassment to those in the know if the US DOESN'T win. Even with the general public knowing that Beckham won't be there a win over mighty England will will have lost some of it's luster. Pressure is definately on US. A good thing.

I don't know much about most of England's squad that they're bringing, since Rooney, Beckham, Owen, Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, and SWP will all be absent.
Why I think the US will win:
1. Home field advantage
2. Big tuneup before WCQs next week
3. We take friendlies more seriously than England
4. Motivation of beating one of the "big ones"
5. MLSers still fresh and fully fit vs. English Euros worn out after long season
6. Possibly we actually match up well, skill-wise, vs. England's B squad???
All that being said, I anticipate a tight, low-scoring match from both sides. Doubtful if either side scores more than 2 goals.

LOL, who are these geniuses that are saying the usa is going to win. lets be realistic, we'll have a tie at best. only way we'll win is if england messes up. i hope we win, of course, but we don't exactly have all our first team out there either. BTW, isn't Tim Howard supposed to be on the senior team?

Considering the squads that will be present, I think it would be an upset if the US didn't win at home...
PREDICTION:
Zat Knight will score an own goal.

i think the USA will win too, only because the England team will be depleted wit not all of their good players and pretty much theyre sub team.
