It's the big showdown. Who will win?
Sara, a friendly by definition can not be a "big showdown."
This one ranks as slightly above last year's friendly with Poland but far below even the worst WCQ match and below every Gold Cup match.
Can you add a "Yawn" option so I can vote? :D

I know the pissed off ManU fans will be out there with they're protest signs. Maybe beat up a few Americans just for the hell of it. :p

Many times a team without their top stars can be very dangerous as those getting a chance to impress put out the best effort they can muster up.. There will be some players like that on both sides though perhaps a few more for England..
There is no sure prediction for a match like this IMO.. The USA has a very long unbeaten streak at home and teams like Argentina, Germany and even England last decade have fallen here.. But England has at least a good chance.. ;)

USA 35 England 3
The US will completely overwhelm England with their aggressive blitzing by middle linebackers Pope and Bocanegra as well as with the blazing deep speed of standout receiver Landon Donovan.
England will also be hurt by forgetting to bring helmets to the game and will finish with 4 players on the field.
But on the bright side for England, Joe Cole will save his side from complete embarassment when he nails a 75 yard field goal in the dying moments of the game.

You're really underestimating the quality of the England 'A' squad. A tired Rooney, Scholes, Beckham, & Co. would still be all the US could handle. And then some, probably.Only if they tried.

It depends what team we field and if any of the players are actually up for it.

I am not an English fan but the USA has no chance in beating them. Soccer is still played best in Europe!!!

First, i would like to say that i'd like nothing other than england to lose...or the U.S.... i guess that makes me impartial. However, england will quite easily win. Even with a lower team, england still cultivates a football culture which the U.S does not..yet, at least. England to win 3-1

the premiership just ended so the english have had little time to train together as a unit. not as much of a factor w/their vet team but their newbies may not have gelled just yet. england will probably have more talent but the us may have the benefit of fielding a side that's seen more play as a unit. look for some bad touches and some errant passes in the first half by england but expect them to manhandle eddie johnson if he plays.
