I can't believe that I'm looking forward to this show tonight so much.

This is the first season that I've watched 24, and I only did so because I was tired of my wife giving me the recap every week, regardless of if I wanted to hear it or not. So I finally gave in this year so I'd have half a clue what she was yappin' about, and I discovered I was missing a really fun show.

Once I got past some of the absurdities of the show (the fact that nobody goes to the bathroom ever during a 24 hour workday, Edgar can call up absolutely anything on his computer within 2 seconds, Chloe makes some great Bobcat Goldthwaite faces, Jack Bauer seemingly runs the universe, etc.) I've really come to enjoy the tension of the show. I can do without the corny parallel romantic story lines, but whatever.

I know there's another 24 thread here, but like my man Jack...I don't follow the rules, baby.

CURSE YOU HABIB MARWAN!!!

I watched season 2 last summer in daily sequence. I was never so hooked on any TV show.

The end of every episode was the worst moment of every day for me.

Edgar must have "Super Google".

I've caught a decent number of episodes this season cuz my job status at REI changed and it freed up Monday nights. Prior to that I missed the past couple of seasons cuz of my REI schedule interferring with "24". Yes I do have a VCR, but always forgot to tape it.

What sucks is that it starts at 7pm here and that's usually when I leave the gym, so I'm gonna have to make it a very short night in order to make it home (I live 30+ miles away from my office).

Of course, I've watched the show from the first season and the show still manages to get my adrenaline running.

There are lots of opportunities for characters to theoretically take bathroom breaks. Even a central character like Jack Bauer is not in every single scene of the show and I am sure he is has time to do a number one or a number two when he is not on-screen.

You do have to suspend belief when characters are able to get from point A in LA (e.g. San Fernando Valley) to point B (e.g. CTU headquarters) in 5 minutes, in the middle of the day. CTU must have transporter techology available to them to cover those distances so quickly.

I just don’t get distracted by such details, it’s not a documentary.

Yeah, but it's a "reality-based" thriller and there are so many more inconsistencies and loose ends. And the real time gimmick is meaningless if they can just adjust time whenever inconvenient.
