The EPL would go to the next level by adding two more midtable teams?

The premier league needs Rangers and Celtic like you need another hole in your arse.
Its never going to happen

That way you'd take away the only two teams in Scotland that know what football is!!
Plus why the hell would IPL need the two....there is no logic in this!

Why would the English league need two teams from another country to come in? Surely if we were going to bring foreign teams in Real Madrid and Barcelona would be a far better option.

Six Welsh clubs are playing in the English system. Isn't that already telling?

Wales doesn't have a professional league and those clubs joined the English league when Wales was still considered a principality of England.
The Welsh teams in England cannot get into European competions.

That's a shame. :(
And here I was hoping the likes of AFC Wrexham could one day go up in the top-flight, represent Cymru, & play some Euro football.

Also, I believe that the Scottish clubs were invited to join the English league at the same time as the Welsh. They refused, preferring to form their own league. So they ain't coming in now.

If Celtic and Rangers want to join they should start off in Conferance North or something, it's hardly fair to just stick them in the Prem and knock two English sides down.

No, no, they should start way lower than that. AFC Wimbledon started several leagues below the regional conferences, that's where they should start.
EDIT: Actually, I just thought of something, if they started in one of those lower leagues, maybe they could play against FC Manchester Red Devils or whatever that proposed breakaway Man Utd club will be called. :D

Well we don't want them in the prem and the other scotish clubs don't really want them in there league. just have rangers and celtic in a league of there own playing each other 38 times a season since it's only them that ever win the league.

Anyone know when this became the rule? I remember being at Old Trafford during the 1990/91 season and we definitely played Wrexham on the way to winning the European Cup Winners Cup against Barcelona in Rotterdam. It was either the first or second round and can still see Gary Pallister of all people lashing one in from the edge of the box.
Was there some kind of welsh cup that they were allowed to enter so they could qualify through that?

I think they can get in through a Welsh competition.

What gives them the right to come straight into the Premiership? If they wanna join English football, they should start right at the bottom in the Sunday League with all the pub teams.
Why should English teams suffer the consequence of them joining?
It will never happen anyway cos teams won't let it happen. If i was the chairman of Ipswich or Sheff Utd for example, and i saw Celtic and Rangers going straight into the Premier League and my club had been trying for ages, i'd never let that happen.

My god it would be the last thing we need with Rangers and Celtic playing down here. Would mean EVEN more pissed up sweaties down here joining the ranks of the ones already living here under bridges, in bus shelters and down alleyways.

It used to be the Welsh Cup which got them into europe. Now I think Wales are only entitled to have one team in European competition due to having such a poor UEFA ranking, and that one place goes to the winner of the League of Wales.

Which explains why there have been no English league based Welsh teams qualifying for Europe :D
