As far as Zandi and Seitz being able to provide any scoring, dude, if Zandi and Seitz could be consistent Bundesliga scorers, Wolf wouldn't be showing them the door! Wolf wouldn't get rid of players he feels can help the team. Those players are going to be gone because they've basically been stealing money this season.
I think Zandi is staying. I bet he starts against Schalke.

Believe it or not, I hope you are right. But the last word I got is that despite their play, Zandi, Seitz and Goektan are still on the transfer list. Most are betting Seitz will return, but not because he's wanted, but because no one wants him.
I have more contacts in Kaiserslautern than the guys on the list........
They say only Aachen had interest in Zandi, so I hope that's not the reason he'll be back.

Dude, according to Transfermarkt.de, he only cost them 100,000 Euros. Even FCK can write that off.........

That is still pretty cheap...
I don't even recall him seeing him once in the squad though.
Although I'm still relatively impressed by Lautern's mini-defender-spree they have going on. Borbely should replace the void that was left when Knavs left, he will become an important player.
Hate to see Artmedia getting dismantled though...I hate it when the ultimate underdog gets the shaft, but thats "modern fussball" for you. :(

I wouldn't be too quickly convinced these guys will get the job done. Especially with a player from Artemedia.
You know, the success of a "team" isn't always due to the talent of it's individuals, rather than how those individuals perform as a "team".
Remember the Dynamo Kiev teams of about four or five years ago? They were also the heart of a very strong Ukraine team and everyone assumed when those guys broke off and went their separate ways, they would all be successful at their new clubs.
How many of them were??
Answer: One. Shevchenko. The one who was totally predictable.
I'll believe these guys will be successful at FCK when I see it. They are joining a new, but BAD team. The pressure will be on them before they can even get acclimated.
I'm not saying they WILL NOT succeed, but I am saying the odds are against them..........

Well I've seen Borbely play and I think he'll do fine...besides, you can't do much worse than what the previous Lautern defenders have done. :D
Sorry I'm really tired and more than a bit pissed...so I'm going to sleep now before I answer your Dynamo Kyiv question :D

They have to be more than just "better". They have to take an entire defense and do a complete 180. I actually hope they can do it. I just don't have the confidence you do that they can actually pull it off.

Article mentioning Borbely........
Artmedia Make Changes After Champions League Run
BRATISLAVA, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Artmedia Bratislava have capitalised on their impressive performance in the Champions League to sell off some key players in the January transfer window.
Manager Petr Kaspar said on Friday striker Blazej Vascak had joined Italian Serie A team Treviso for an undisclosed sum, while defender Jan Durica signed a four-year deal with Saturn Moscow earlier this week.
Captain Balazs Borbely is on a six-month loan with Germany's Kaiserslautern and midfielder Jan Kozak is on trial with English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion.
"That's everyone for the time being," Kaspar told Reuters. "We hope we've found adequate replacements."
The Slovakian champions, who have an annual budget of just 1.3 million euros ($1.57 million), enter the UEFA Cup next month after finishing third in their Champions League group from their first appearance in Europe's elite club competition.
Artmedia came close to going through to the last 16 following a win and a draw from their two games with former European champions Porto and two draws with Rangers.
Kaspar has brought in forward Lubomir Reiter formerly of Chicago Fire, striker Dusan Sninsky from Poland's Grodzisk and defender Marian Cisovsky from the northern Slovak team Zilina.
"We're working on more reinforcements," Kaspar said, but added it was hard to say yet whether Artmedia would have the same spark on the pitch.
"Our new players are on the national team," he said. "They should be able to replace the ones we've lost. But it's a collective sport, and we'll have to see how things come together."
Borbely said: "Players earn about 20,000 euros a year in the Slovak league. You can make that in a month abroad."
Artmedia are at home to Levski Sofia in their first UEFA Cup match on Feb. 15.

Last transfer window over the summer. He started a couple times, but just never clicked.
I have to disagree with footy. The team overall was a midtable team, but the defense was just horrible. With a better defense they will be a much better team. Much better.

Ummmmm.....no
No offense but in order to win, Altintop needs to be on...and your defense, while better, is far from solid still, because most of them need time to adjust to the Bundesliga.

Pulled this off of another list:
RIORDAN COULD BE BONHOF TO KAISERSLAUTERN
GERMAN side Kaiserslautern have joined the chase for Hibs star Derek Riordan - on the advice of Rainer Bonhof.
Maii Sport understands the former Scotland Under-21 coach was sounded out by the Bundesliga strugglers and his glowing report has convinced them to weigh up a bid.
Fellow relegation battlers FC Nuremberg have also showed an interest in the striker whose Hibs contract expires this summer.
Sources in Germany believe a January bidding battle is imminent as neither club is
willing to risk waiting until the summer to snap him up on a Bosnian (Eric's comment: they must mean Bosman!!). Kaiserslautern are likely to offer 250,000 to tempt Hibs to cash in on the frontman.
Price
Hibees boss Tony Mowbray has issued a hands-off warning to clubs tracking his young stars who still have two or three years to run on their deals.
But he has admitted he'd consider letting Riordan go six months early if the price was right and a deal would help the club.

Kaiserslautern was cheated today.
At Duisburg´s 1-0 there Lottner was 2 m offside.
And at the 2-0 Caliguri made a total diver.
It was referee Mr. Brych again,
the same guy, that is responsible for
Klose´s injury.
Can´t prove, that he´s corrupt, but
he made a lot of sh*t in the last weeks.
It was justice, that Kaiserslautern came back and played
2-2, but this referee should end his career.
Congrats, red devils.

Pathetic refereeing yesterday. Duisburg's first goal was a meter offside, their second was a penalty from a huge dive by Caligiuri. You guys did a great job fighting back to get the point, but really, you should've won this. We had a ********ing legal dissallowed goal against Duisburg also, last week. People say Kohler has improved Duisburg - he hasn't, they've just been lucky, and they will go down in my opinion.

The team has given up six goals in 2006 and has only earned two points. And all three opponents were not offensive juggernauts. Schalke is 14th in the league in scoring with 22 goals and Köln and Duisburg are in the relegation zone.
I suspect Bremen will score a goal or two today, but the two games after that are against Bielefeld and Mainz, who are both in the bottom half of the table.
If Kaiserslautern is not out of the relegation zone by then it will be all over, what with teams like Hamburg, Berlin, Dortmund, Hannover, Frankfurt and Bayern on the slate and all.
