That's the perfect start and a complete "resurgence" after the terrible last season! ;)

I think it would have been terrible if FCK went into the 3rd Bundesliga, but they didn't. So I like to think it was an underachieving season ;)

I kind of think of last season like that. We were better than our position in the end. Don't get me wrong the table doesn't lie but look at our goal diff. last season. We should have and could have done better but just couldn't close a match out. I am very hopeful about this campaign.
BTW it is nice to see my old friend Borussia and I wish BMG luck in Bundesliga 1. this season.

Even my doubt is beginning to erode. Because you see, there is one MAJOR thing besides Kuntz that you guys have now that you didn't last season.
Quality on the team overall! Last season, if someone from FCK's starting 11 got hurt (and they dropped like flies), the backup was usually some scrub.
Now, the backups are better players. So are some in the starting 11.
I'm biased toward my boy Martin Amedick (I still think BVB was stupid to let him go, but I'm glad they sold him to FCK so I can still cheer for him. And it's better for him because he would have been on the bench at BVB.) but the overall quality Kuntz has brought in with low cost buys (I think we sold Amedick for just 200,000) and loans is immense for this team.
And now Sasic has had time to clean up the mess. He just didn't have time last season.
If Kuntz can keep those idiots in management for interfering, this might just be a superb season for you guys.
And yes Robdog, I'm starting to realize I may have spoken too soon in doubting this team.
I do hope they keep it up. Ive never been afraid to admit being wrong.

Bro, there is some think like 35 matches remaining in the season. This is just the first 3 matches. Time shall tell. Let's just call this a great start. The one thing I am liking, is the fact that FCK only has one competition to worry about. Hopefully the season can continue like it is. If so, FCK will make another visit to Westfalen Stadion as a true competitor ;)

Hi I'm new to these boards and here to help represent FCK, I guess I can call this thread my base of operations. This year looks promising for once we have some young decent players, these last couple of years have been hard for me. I haven't been able to watch any games as they don't show 2nd bundesliga games here so hopefully we can get back to the top:)

The red devils beat Karlsruhe in a friendly match last weekend with 4:1.
Fans were not allowed because the police expected some trouble with hooligans.

With good cause. The hools had already set up meetings to fight and the Poliezi got word of it.
Glad to see FCK kicking some a$$......

What parallels to last season (1:0 away win in Fürth due to a 2nd half goal after a corner-kick) ... but this time, the 3 points aren't lucky but absolutely deserved (can't remember when Fürth had such a bad day in a home match)!
Congrats! Great job from your manager & team.

I second Uwe's opinion. What a turnaround!

I was in Kaiserslautern when the team narrowly escaped relegation on matchday 34. It is almost incredible how the club has changed since then, or should I say since Kunz arrived? IMO he and Sasic can't be praised enough for what they have achieved already.
Let's wait and see how the team will react after the first throwbacks. If they stick together and ignore the mounting pressure, I hope and expect the red devils to compete for promotion.

And the hero of that match hasn't even been able to play yet!

Another great victory today, beating Frankfurt 2-1!
The Devils are now 2 pts clear in first place!!!
After our pathetic showing last year, it is incomprehensible that we are doing so well this year! I guess we just needed some home-grown fire in management, and Stefan Kuntz was the answer.
Keep it up, lads!
