not really
the banner says "Do you wanna be my wife?"

But where is the "husband"?

It was a dig at the team, notice the two women holding the sign.

Where are my Roten Teufel Brethren at???? FCK is out of the dropzone. Well, almost. Depends on the result from the Freiburg v Offenbach. Keep your fingers cross and goto church and burn a candle for FCK http://www.geocities.com/jayrob6/emoticons/pray.gif

Offenbach losing just today isn't going to complete the job, but of course, you guys know that.

But, I feel Offenbach is going to lose today. Freiburg still has a shot at promotion and I doubt they are going to let Offenbach come into the Dreisamstadion and take three points.

Of course, FCK is out of the relegation zone for the moment, but there are still two more matches to win. The good thing for FCK this coming weekend is that it seems Jena has already packed it in. However, the bad thing is Jena will want to give their fans a victory as a 2. Liga departing gift. I doubt they are going to roll over for FCK. And if Koln hasn't clinched promotion on the final day, they aren't going to do FCK any favors.

But even then, Offenbach hosts another promotion contender, Hoffenheim, on Sunday and travels to another relegation battler, Osnabrueck, on the final day.

So yes, Offenbach just might "lose out." But I wouldn't count on it.

The bottom line is that FCK has its own fate in its own hands right now and if Offenbach loses tonight.

After the way this season has gone, you can't ask for much more than that........

Freiburg-Offenbach, what an unpleasant surprise. :(

As Footy already pointed out, beating Jena won't be easy, but maybe I can cheer you up with this: If Lautern wins and Offenbach and Osnabrück each have to settle for a draw, FCK is already save. Osnabrück and Offenbach will play against each other on 18 May, and their goal difference is much worse than yours.

Of course winning your own game will be the most difficult part in this calculation, but it's not unreasonable to assume that Offenbach won't beat Hoffenheim, or that 1860 will get at least a draw at home against Osnabrück.

Is it too late to become a 1860 fan??? ;)

that 1860 will get at least a draw at home against Osnabrück.

With the way 1860 has been playing this is the most unlikely of your scenarios.

Yes, but it was still the most unlikely.

Yes, but it was still the most unlikely.

Actually, I thought FCK getting a result in Jena would be the most unlikely. But you can say anyone can say that after the fact and you would be correct.

But before his posting, I did say in a previous post:

In my opinion, 1860 and Offenbach had "draw" written all over it. Offenbach fighting for their lives and 1860 wanting to clinch 2. Liga football for next season in front of their own fans.

But of course, again, easy to say after the fact.......

Especially when 1860 should have won, but didn't due to some of the worst finishing in German professional football.

I've been working a lot. Beside the fact that I'm too nervous to talk about the match. I know we can do it but we'll have to wait to see which team shows up.
