Who cares where there are FCK fans. Die Roten Teufel are on the verge to get out of the dropzone :D

We did it. 2-1 FT against Aachen! The first step to a full recovery is complete but there is still a lot of work ahead.

Ole, ole...ole, ola....FCK ist weider da!!!!

You could have at least fixed his spelling error. :D

BTW, congrats on the win! I thought once they gave up that first goal, they were going to lose again.

The Premiere announcer said one thing during the match that made me smile and remember old days.

"Der FCK fightet! Der fightet fuer das existenz. Die Aachener spielt heute wie die im freundschaftsspiel sind."

Or: "FCK is fighting! They are fighting for their very existence! And Aachen are playing as if this is a friendly match....."

2nd home win in a row now, I simply can't believe that after so many home games without victory this season!;) Obviously they need those "win or die" situations. :-)

Congrats on the vital win. 2 matchdays ago, you were almost "dead" (8 points lag to spot 14) ... and now, you suddenly have the same amount of points as spot 14 (thanks to the 8 points deduction for Koblenz)!

The derby in Mainz will become pretty interesting next week...

Frustration of Fans Prior to Game

Not sure about Saarbrücken, but there are many red devils in Mainz and Koblenz.

I lived for 9 years in Saarbruecken and had 3 yrs ST on the Betzenberg/ Kaiserslautern . All I can say, that both fan groups hate each other .

not really
the banner says "Do you wanna be my wife?"

But where is the "husband"?

Dude, no need to be embarrassed. Everyone got the message. I was just teasing Robdog.

:) I do try hard with my German but they are so much better with their English.

Ole Ole, Ole Ola, der FCK ist wieder da!

Ole Ole, Ole Ola, die roten Teufel sind ganz wunderbar!

Come on Lautern, what about beating Mainz tonight? ;)
I'll try to get tickets for the last match of the season, Lautern-Köln. Since I support both clubs, it might prove to be either the most depressing or the most glorious day in my life as a football fan.:D

There's no "1. FCK" rivalry there?

Robdog, what season was that we met on Betzenberg for 1. FCK v. 1. FCK?? Wasn't it 2000-2001 or somewhere around that time?

Do you mean they should be rivals due to a sense of affronted proprietorship, i.e. because both clubs share the same acronym? :)
When I come to think of it, I remember some chant in Müngersdorf which went something like "Mer sinn, mer sinn FCK" (We are, we are FCK) or something like that, but it was not a game against Lautern, and Köln fans usually refer to their club as "the FC", without "K". As far as I know, there's no particular enmity between the clubs and their fans.

It's not a very realistic scenario, but if Lautern should avoid relegation and Köln reach promotion on May 18, some 40'000 people on the Betzenberg might well end up drinking to close friendship with each other. :D

No, it was just a question.

Man, I knew that Koln fans usually refer to the club as "Der FC", but didn't think about it. Thanks! :)

Yes, it was that season. Sept 15th, round 5. I still have the ticket stub. That was one of the best days of my life. I still talk about it and tell people who weren't there about it. Then Bad Durkheim the next day. The WeinFest. Awesome party atmosphere. You can have Octoberfest, I will goto Bad Durkheim :D

How awesome would that be - one promotion, one avoids relegation. The beers will taste like nectar of the gods.
