They're sinking deeper and deeper with every game.
They're 5 points from safety now, that number could increase on Sunday, they've got 7 games left, I think in order to survive relegation they'll need about 5 wins or so from the remaining matches.
Matches left:
Aue (away) - very interesting match, both teams really need wins so it should be a good game, Aue have gotten better lately and it'll be hard to beat them.
Augsburg(home) - A manageable 3 points here, though really a game they'll HAVE to win.
Aachen(home) - again, the 3 points are possible, but they'll have to have improved heavily between now and ten.
Mainz(away) - Getting any points from this match will be VERY tough.
St. Pauli(home) - Again, they'll be the favourites going into this game, and they'll need all 3 points.
Jena(away) - 3 points again possible if they play to their best. Jena will probably be relegated by this point, but they have improved lately and won't be pushovers.
Koeln(home) - Potentially enormous game, FCK could be fighting relegation and Koeln fighting for promotion both up to the last day. Winning here would be hard.
Overall, i'd say FCK will have good chances against Aue, Augsburg, Aachen, St. Pauli and Jena, and then there's always the possibility they surprise against Mainz or Koeln. I'd say they need 5 wins from these matches to avoid being relegated, that'll be tough but it's certainly possible, so FCK shouldn't give up yet!

It`s hard to believe that those stories about the bus driver, cook etc are true. There was nothing about that in german media or forums like "der-betze-brennt".
As I told him, someone is full of shit......
Concerning the canadian players my opinion is that Josh Simpson has to play as a starter. Bernier is one of the big disappointments this season. I prefer Demai on his position.
Totally agree with you. On Bernier, I think he has very good potential, but I don't think he's the sharpest knife in the drawer.......

It's almost over now after another home game without win.
Just take a look at this clip (I feel so sorry for the fans, since I had to experience a similar situation last season):

A 0-0 draw against Aue. I was mostly bored to tears but there were a few chances. Aue had a good chance to win it at the end. I really can't believe that this is the same club. I'll stay with 1.FCK even to 3rd division but I don't think even Kuntz is going to sort this out. Does anyone here know what the total debt for FCK is?

People don't give up hope yet!!! With 5 matches remaining, FCK is only 5 points back of VfL Osnabrück, Kickers Offenbach, & FC Augsburg. All three have a worse goal differential than FCK. So it is still possible that FCK can remain in 2nd bundesliga. There is still a hope. Keep the faith my Roten Teufel brethen

I didn't even watch the 2. Liga matches this evening. However, when I looked at my e-mail and saw that "Robdog" posted here today, I knew FCK had won...... ;) :D

I remember when in 05/06, at the beginning of the season, he started trashing me because I said Lautern had a good chance of getting relegated from the 1. Liga. :D
I'm happy Lautern got a win yesterday though, it could be just the boost they need to make a run for it at the end!

What a relief for a whole region! ;)
Congrats on the vital home win! The next game against Aachen will be another decisive match (only 3 points count once again)...

I'm sure Mainz, Koblenz and Saarbrücken fans would disagree ;)

Only three points matters for them for the rest of the season.

Not sure about Saarbrücken, but there are many red devils in Mainz and Koblenz.
Simpson and Bohl were invited to a radio show this morning...

Well, I'm from Saarbrücken and I'm a FCK-Fan. But I'm also supporter of 1. FC Saarbrücken, so I know that in Saarbrücken City, there aren't many supporters of the red devils, there are more haters, so I'm a small minority. :)

Today Koblenz received a 8 point penalty for a breach of the licence rules. That means they are only 3 points ahead of k`town. New Hope!:D
@daniel,
with Stefan Kuntz the chance is good that Lautern`s fanbase in the saarland will grow:rolleyes:

I lived in Mainz ten years ago. That time they were all Kaiserslautern or Frankfurt Fans. I haven`t met a single Mainz 05 Fan.

I was in Mainz a few weeks ago. Couldn't find a FCK fan anywhere.
