Second half is on; it seems Lexa just missed a great chance to score a third goal.

3 precious points!!!! And we scored a goal. The 1st was clearly an OG.
We are getting closer to safety and I hope the goal will help our confidence going forward in the next match.
I'm soooo happy! :)
Two must win matches coming up.

I'm off now until tonight ... and when back, I'm curious to see if your guys managed to defend the vital lead.
And they did! ;) Congrats on this vital away win!

Thank you to all who posted a congratulatory message. Our great club might just be saved if we can keep the results coming. We need to beat everyone that is around us in the table and maybe nick a result or two against a top side and we should be alright.

Once again no home win ... and this in a so-called "6 points" match against an opponent that had to replace both top strikers.

Now you simply can't afford losing the next away game in Osnabrück...

Another draw at home? WTF!
I think we can win away at Osnabrück but this is going down to the wire. :(

They won't win at Osnabrueck if both teams play the way they did last night. Osnabrueck beat themselves with an own goal. You guys would have hard time creating the opportunity for that own goal to happen.
This FCK team seems to be lacking the two major things FCK teams have always been known for.

They were lucky to get the draw.

That will be another "6 points" match in Osnabrück ... so I expect a tough fight! A defeat would be almost deadly for FCK ... but since your guys are stronger on the away road, I expect at least a draw! However, Osnabrück is very strong at home and strangely lost its last 2 home matches ... so they will surely be on fire.

Agree.
I think Osnabrueck will especially be on fire after the way they lost at St. Pauli.......

Totally agree. Having watched FCK's last game, they obviously had the ability to gain three points, but they just didn't seem to WANT it enough. Osnabrueck on the other hand, really fought hard against Sankt Pauli, they would've deserved a draw, they didn't get it though...
...if FCK play with alll their spirit and mind in their next game, they'll go home with atleast a point in the bag... iof they play like they did on Thursday, they can expect to lose, and then it could be bye-bye to FCK as we know them... and that would be a huge shame :(

No more than what has been happening. He is making room for Stefan Kuntz.
This will go a long way to stabilize things.

With today's loss to Osnabrueck, it seems to me that serious thought now needs to be given to the idea of Kaiserslautern being relegated. They are five points out of safety, and while it will only take one team to stumble down the stretch, I'm not sure Kaiserslautern is capable of taking advantage of such a stumble.
Does 1.FCK survive if they are relegated? I know its financial situation is very tenuous (so much so that relegation to the 2.BL was thought to be potentially terminal to its survival), and you have to wonder what the future holds.
Even if 1.FCK does survive, in what form will they exist? Will they be able to return to former glory (or at least a steady place in the 1.BL)? Or will they become another Bochum or Duisburg? Or are they doomed to view life in the 2.BL as the pinnacle of achievement, like Saarbruecken or Mannheim? Or are they going to become another Wormatia Worms or Borussia Neunkirchen?
I have a bit of a love-hate thing going with 1.FCK, so part of me views the club's decline with morbid fascination (you reap what you sow). But another part of me thinks German soccer and the Palatinate will be much the poorer if 1.FCK falls off the map.
