I have not heard that this year, I just remember it from last year, and frankly it is true. Deep breath Keith, deep breath.
For what? Dude, if you guys go down, you go down. I'm just talking football here. I don't give a rat's ass.
As we say around here, I don't have a dog in this fight. I like FCK and have had a long association with FCK fans, but this is something this club brought on itself.
And I bet none of those FCK players on that pitch this past weekend knew a damned thing about Freiburg's record at that stadium. If they did, Sasic needs to be shown the door.
That's nice stuff for fans to throw around, but to suggest that it played a part in the result?

Oh, I do not know, maybe it was we were playing a top of the table team who is the only club to have a winning record in Fritz Walter.

I have to agree w/ FootieFan on this one. FCK needs wins ASAP. Nothing else will do. No more moral victories. 3 Points only. We coming close to desperation time.

Anybody ever read the book "11 Rote Jäger" by Fritz Walter?

German football has always been epitomized by fighting spirit. I can't imagine the Bundesliga without the famous Devils. I can't believe that the spirit that produced "Das Wunder von Bern" is dead in Germany. If 1FCK were to go down and likely fold; German football will have lost more than it will ever gain in $$$$. I'll always be a "Rote Teufel" and if we are no more than German football is dead to me.

The real football is dying a slow death and it's being replaced with an advertising opportunity that sometimes has to do with sport. The $$$$ are there but where is the spirit and the beauty of our sport?

It will be a sad thing to lose you, but no game on this planet has ever stayed the same. Most things on this planet evolve. Football is evolving just like most everything else on this planet.
If this club goes away, German football will survive and thrive without FCK for a few years. I'm sure this club if this club goes down, it won't be down forever. It just might not exist in its current form, but it will return. That region won't let it just die.
The real football is dying a slow death and it's being replaced with an advertising opportunity that sometimes has to do with sport. The $$$$ are there but where is the spirit and the beauty of our sport?
The beauty of the game is there. I appreciate your passion, but maybe you're so attached to FCK, you think the spirit and beauty of the game is gone because FCK is falling apart. If so, that is not true.
My club is and has gone through hard times too. We will continue to because the management team in Dortmund are idiots. But not as big of idiots as FCK's management over the years. And that is who is responsible. FCK has been destroyed by mis-management, not some huge millionaires taking over the clubs and game as is happening in England.
If there is one place in Europe where money hasn't taken over, it is the Bundesliga.
I think your pain might be distorting your view. If so, that's totally understandable.
But our game is still our game. It is just evolving. It's natural. It is natural that some people won't like the process and it is also natural that some clubs fall by the wayside during this process.
It has happened to once-great names like Gladbach, Koln, 1860 Munich and even though they are still in the 1. Liga right now, 1. FC Nuernberg.
It might happen to FCK. I hate it, but I think my club, Borussia Dortmund, is on the verge of falling along the same path.
And while the game and how is it run is evolving, the one thing that all the clubs I named have in common??
They have all at some point been horribly mis-managed.
Don't blame the evolution of the game. Put the responsibility right where it belongs.
On FCK Management.....

Spoken just like a jealous fan of a club doing badly.
Bayern and Schalke have had good management. Bayern forever and Schalke over the past eight to ten years.
If anyone has an advantage, yes, it is Bayern. But it is one created by great management and what seems to be the German media way of believing that someone who wins all the time is somehow entitled to win and you're not a "Good German" if you don't cheer for them.
I do believe they enjoy a certain amount of favoritism, but not because of money. I believe a lot of their money is the result of that favoritism which they got from winning in the past. Don't forget, once upon a time, Bayern had one of Europe's best teams in a stadium that held over 20,000 more spectators than mostl everyone else's in Germany.
That is where Bayern got their original advantage.
But once upon a time, FCK seemed to be on the right path. They were making European money and able to buy the players they needed. Mis-management f#cked that up. That's not Bayern or Schalke's fault.
Stop being a child here dude. You may have put that smiley there, but we both know you weren't kidding.
What is going on in Kaiserslautern is the fault of no one except FCK management.
Want another example? Again, my club.
At one time, BVB had nearly as much money as Bayern. But, just like FCK, we have idiots in management. They didn't know what they were doing and pissed all that money away.
It takes more than just money to win. It takes competent football and business people controlling that money to win. BVB has competent business people, but no one who knows a f#cking thing about football.
And apparently, FCK has neither........

Maybe I'm completely off the track here cause I don't follow the development of your players that closely. Anyway I wonder why Runström plays only second fiddle at FCK and why he seems to be the striker most blamed for the lack of goals. Isn't he quite talented and at least potentially more dangerous than most of the alternatives? Just a thought...

I have wondered why we don't start him myself. We wait until very late to bring him off the bench in the last few matches.
It is my understanding that Runström is a troubled lad who sometimes doesn't train as hard as he should.

Good luck for this "Endspiel" this evening! All that counts for you in Wiesbaden, are 3 points.

Wow, it's looking really good at half time! ;) How much did you pay to König? :-)
I'm off now until tonight ... and when back, I'm curious to see if your guys managed to defend the vital lead.

0-2 HT. We are looking good for the points but it has been an untidy match so far. Wiesbaden is loud.
