I know most "official" nicknames on premiership teams (Gunners, Spurs, Canaries etc). But what are the "unofficial" ones? I mean those names that fans call the other team/fans... (but not the profane ones). The only example I know "Chelski". Are there any other? What do Arsenal fans call Man. U?

Chelsea were known as the Pensioners at one point because of the Pension House for the British army is located in Chelsea.

the best offical nicknames are the Latics (Wigan and another club, I think) and the Imps (Lincoln City)

Well you know... I guess they had to choose between the two... it was either "liver" or "pool", so I guess they went for the latter.

Toon - For how town is pronounced.

As in "i'm ganan doo that toon" strange since we've been a city since the 1300's I don't think even the geordies can manipulate Tyne into Toon.

It's the TOON ARMY!

sunderland=jokers, smbs, scumberland, village of the damned, offical residents of jokerpark, ba$ards, wearside wan kers. many many more.

Cheers for the link. Just out of curiosity... why are Sunderland called "the black cats" . I could understand the "red & white cats" but not this name.
Some other teams - Reading = the Biscuitmen - Pourque? And how did Leeds get dubbed "the Peacocks"?

Come on, we could have found some other variants in there. 'Erpoo' is a good example. Ok, perhaps not a good example, but hey, one nonetheless.
