Looks like leaving the Lynx was a good move for him. The Rhinos poor start shows how the steady reduction in franchise numbers with the elimination of the weaker franchises like Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Calgary, Indiana and Cincinnatti over the last couple of years means that wins are going to be a lot harder to come by than they used to be for the Lynx this summer:-

Ali Gerba is a cancer to any team he plays on. His attitude in the dressing room and off the pitch make him an idiot and he has got to straighten his ******** up. Thats why we traded him away. One conversation with him will cut him from the national team invite.

Sounds like he plays the Billy Bigshot then because he sat on the bench in MLS for a bit and has been involved with national teams. There were rumours of similar issues when he was last in Montreal, apparently.

Bob Lilley was pretty much despised across the board in the dressing room. Trading for Ali, then barely playing him, in a defensive system, in 2003 was sure to piss him off.
