In what's been a disappointing year for Canadians re promotion/relegation there is still some hope.

Simon Rayner of Lincoln City is in the English League Two (4) play-off final (for promotion to League One) against Southend United at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 28th May 2005. The Imps will be going to Cardiff after a 1-1 draw at Macclesfield Town secured a 2-1 aggregate success in the semi-finals against the Silkmen.

Also Adam Wallace of KSV Roeselare (Belgian 2nd Division) are in first place of the round robin playoff for promotion to the Jupiler League.

Last year it was Scandinavian relegation; this year it's Canadians losing out in English promotion playoffs. Lincoln City (Simon Rayner) will not be promoted to League One after losing to Southend 2- 0 in extra time at the Millenium Stadium in the League Two Playoffs. This has been a tough year for Canadian players in England and several others worldwide are presently in relegation positions.

Wallace is still looking good in the Belgian playoffs.

Wallace is still looking good in the Belgian playoffs.Adam Wallace and KSV Roeselare have been promoted to the Belgian Jupiler League. There is some question about his Canadian eligibility as he put some time in with Jamaica but I'm inclined not to believe anything concerning interpreting Fifa's convoluted eligibility rules.

According to beachesl at Voyageurs KSV Roeselare will not renew his contract and he will likely move on.
