It's pretty redundant to say that our season has been catastrophic at the very least. All the more reason to look forward to next season.
Of course with the Glazer takeover, there are some things that I'm not looking forward to, but I hope that at least on the pitch we are able to build on our positives this season.
Things to look forward to/hope:
Rooney, Ronaldo and Fletcher developing further
Our reserves breaking into the side, e.g. Richardson, Rossi, Jones, Eagles, etc.
Ruud getting back his sharpness.
A fit Saha.
A fit Kleberson.
A fit Solskjaer :)
A greater hunger to win.
New signings to bolster the midfield.
A new keeper.

Don't agree with some of those but, I do think the development of Fletcher, Ronaldo and Rooney is really something I look forward to hugely. fletcher coming off changed the game imo..shows his worth to us.

I just cannot face another season with the same catastrophic injuries.

In Fergie's words:
"You could toss a coin for man of the match out of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo because they were great, the pair of them.
"There's a great future for those boys and Darren Fletcher as well.
"The season's over now and we can reflect on what might have been as long as we like but we have to look forward to next season now."

I agree with some of those points but I do think that maybe Saha and Klebs along with Philare on their way out of OT this summer as we need the cash for some other positions. We do need to find a keeper and another midfield player however.
Easier said than done though for sure.

Yes, we shall move on.
But so does Saha, sell him get some $$ to sign a Keane/Scholes/Giggs Replacment, and possibly a goalie.....with Solskjaer back we shouldnt even think about saha IMO....im sure some will disagree

Given the season that Saha has just "completed", what could United reasonably expect to be paid for selling him? My prediction is that United will hold on to him. One good thing about the Glazer takeover, it no longer matters what the unamortized portion of transfer fees are, since there are no shareholders to please with the financial performance.

All I gotta say is enjoy being outspent by Wigan.
Enjoy playing next season with a 35 year old striker as your best player. Not to mention the distinct lack of any quality defenders (bar Boumsong, who will miss 4-5 months with injuries) and no decent keeper to back them up once Shay decides to go to a club that have an actual history of winning things. Don't worry though, you can always depend on your midfield that has all the talent of Keith Gillespie & an ego the size of David Beckham & Jose Mourinho's lovechild Dose Beckinho.

Enjoy being under the guidance of a dumb piece of crap manager who, if given the 200m pounds to do it, would assemble a whole squad of mediocre players and punch their lights out one by one, leaving a team of James Milners to try to please a mad chairman who actually thought his club could sign Wayne Rooney.
Wayne is bigger than Newcastle. He's worth more. He scores more goals. He looks better.

It will also show that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers owner is planning a four-year £100 million budget to buy players, according to the Sunday Times.
And can we have it all now, please Malcolm? ;)

:D
Early details of his bid said it's 20 per year with an extra 20 for big signings in that period. I think if we spent around 30 this year (Essien, SWP, Frey), we could get by with 20 per year for the next 3 years plus an extra 10 for a rainy day :)

If we continue to buy players who are young and have the potential to succeed at the club e.g. Ronaldo and Rooney, then we could make a few big buys in the next couple of seasons and not have to make any major signings for another six or seven years. IMO, the key positions in which we need to bring in young worldclass players is keeper, central midfield and the left wing. We might need to bring in a new rightback sometime soon, but I don't think we necessarily need someone who is going to cost a fortune, and besides I think we might already have adequate cover for that position already.

Yeah, I also feel maybe 100m isn't all that bad. But knowing that we'd have probably had more without Glazer kills that mood.
And with all the talk of selling Saha, Klebs etc... did Glazer say the transfer fees would add on to the 100m?
