Showed why they are the future of this club (If Glazer hasn't destroyed it first) both of them thrive in big games abd actually pull their best out to match the opposition. Just need to tidy them up for the little teams and ive em more experience in the CL and wow...for both of them.

A worthy inclusion, too. The way we line up with Rooney on the left (on the right today) and Ronaldo on the other flank, this could be our midfield for years to come. Just put Rooney in the hole in the middle and Richardson on the left and we're talking an extremely competent midfield for a decade to come.

I think Rooney was outstanding today and deserved the MOTM award.
The only poor part of Ronaldo's game today was his FKs as he could not hit the target and make Lehman work. He was great on the left wing though.
The other unfortunate thing today about Ronaldo was that the ref was too lenient on the Arsenal players when they fouled CR7 as Lauren and Vieira should have had two yellows.
I cannot believe that some people think the ref had a great game.
This is the same ref BTW who sent off CR7 for diving and Fletch for kicking the ball away and made us beat AV 2-0 to end the last season.

Well, that's because we tend to see things the way we want to see them. I don't scream too much about missed yellows. Way too subjective, even in the subjective world of refereeing. I think this ref didn't miss any calls. Every time Rooney, Ronaldo or Reyes were fouled, the fouls were called. Each time the ref tried to give Rooney the benefit of the advantage call. I thought it was a well-called game.

As for Rooney and Ronaldo, you've got a lot to be proud about. Rooney and Cole gave us a battle for the ages, with Rooney winning. Ronaldo schooled Lauren today. Your guys just couldn't find the back of the net. Ruud was poor, overall, but it was only a lucky Ljungberg who saved us.

Both of our teams dropped way too many points to the little guys. Fergie and Wenger both have their work cut out for them next year, but based on Rooney and Ronaldo's play today, you can certainly be looking forward to next year.
