i'll check it out. i used to go to the "old" timbers team when i was a kid, thats how i got into it.

i do have timbers shirt but i'll wear a united kit.

there used to be some bars near the stadium but i think its changed a lot, although since it is portland there are likely bars nearby

Since the United game is so close to kick-off I would recomend you join the faithful at the Bullpen which is the home of the Timbers Army.

It is located directly East of the Stadium (literally across the street from the fence on the east side).

They get Fox Soccer Channel and have multiple T.V.'s which we always demand that a game be put on so it should not be a problem.

You are gonna have a blast with the T.A. I guarantee it - coming from BarraBrava you will feel right at home.

Well my plans have changed and I decided to take a short "detour" on my flight East and go to Rochester and Toronto for the Timbers games that weekend and THEN fly to D.C. on Sunday (all on the work's dime because it is one "continous" flight east :) ) Then I am flying on Friday the 10th directly from D.C. to Vancouver, B.C. for the Timbers game up there that night. Again on the company payroll :D
