5. Full Metal Jacket

4. Schindler's List

3. The Great Escape

2. Apocalypse Now

1. Saving Private Ryan

Don't know about you, but Sophie's Choice would have been in my top 5 somewhere, what do you think???

what do you think???

I'd have Black Hawk Down, A Bridge Too Far (personal fave) and Hamburger Hill in there and how Das Boot isn't #1 is completely beyond me. Is there a list of the whole 100? I imagine all those I've listed are in there. SPR is good but it's no #1.

No one likes Bridge Over the River Quai?

I do.

"Come and See" absolutely wipes the others off the plate.

"Saving Private Ryan" sucked ass.

Enemy at the Gates was great, I would also have to back you all up with The Big Red One, The Longest Day, A bridge to far, Bridge over the River Quai, Apocalypse Now, Saving Private Ryan, The Deer Hunter, Hell, even the TV mini series Band of Brothers was pretty good.

Oh and let us not forget Mr. Peckinpah's Iron Cross.
And...almost forgot The Guns of Navarro.

Growing up in a military family did have it's perks ;)

Victory? :)

That's my immediate choice!

Schindler's List was also a favorite - though I didn't consider it a war movie.

Tears of the Sun

I think Bruce Willis acts and looks the best when he is dragged through hell and back, he looks good beat up, and plays the roll perfectly.
