hhmmm looks like Gary Neville is allegedly carrying an injury .Looks like he is the next player to miss the tour!

I also wager that Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole will pick up knee injuries after the game and Wenger rules them out.
Then it truly will be a C team we send to america.

To be honest, I'd rather we lose the game by 1 or 2 goals than us sending out a team that comes any where near close to our best. This game shouldn't even be taking place. It's a complete joke.

Gary Neville will pick up an injury for sure and i expect Sol and Ashley to get knocks that will keep them out of the tour. I'd be funny if we beat them with our C team :D

An England C team has more quality than the USA best 11 in my opinion. Beating them with it wouldn't be so surprising.

I knew nevilinho would pull out.

at least ashley cole didnt get injured.

-------Johnson-------Campbell-------Brown-------Cole-------

-------Jenas-------Carrick-------Richardson-------Cole-------

-------------------Defoe-------Smith------------------------

With the lastest squad thats what i think Sven will play, i think he'll keep Joe Cole on the left hand side or he might but Cole on the right and Downing on the left.

It's a decent side, it will give the US a game for sure.

Better than anything the US can put out for me.

what do you know about the US team?We get lots of EPL here in the States, how much have you seen or know about the USA men?

I have a pretty good idea of what a full strength USA team is. I'd rather have the team Colm put out. What players do the USA have that are better than the likes of Campbell, Brown, Ash Cole, Joe Cole, Carrick, Defoe and Smith? I can't really think of any? Reyna? Donovan? lol

Beasley, Gibbs, Cherundolo,Dempsey, Ralston, Johnson-I know England invented footie and all that but be honest, how much do you know except they are never on English telly?

You're right when you say I can't know much about the ones playing in the MLS. But I've seen a lot of the USA's best 11 play, and there's no way I'd have your best players, over the one's I've just mention.

well, for example, do you know that Reyna is not considered among our best players? Not many of our players play in EPL because you have the most protectionist rules of any European country. If England has so many great players, why are there all of these silly rules( 75 % of all Nat team games for your country) that keep talented players out, esp young ones? The only Yanks who can play in EPL are the older ones because our younger ones don't have enough caps.So they play in Holland ( Gibbs, O'Brien, Beasley) or Germany ( Cherundolo)

Mikey, I do not mind people making statements like yours if they have the info. But to just blithely say that England's C team is better then the US team, with no knowldege is just arrogant and ignorant.Your post, sadly, is the Yanks impression of a typical Brit footie fan.

Blame the Home Office. There is restrictions in nearly every major european League. I think we don't have specific limits on how many non-EU players you can have, but instead have restrictions to get them work-permits. This set by the British government not the Premier League.

Its a bastard, but thems the rules. Its a socio-political one, not a football one.

Has the US team been announced yet?

The man to watch, will be a certain Clint Dempsey - a little bird has told me has been playing pretty well for New England this year.

my point was to Mikey: that just because you don't know the USA team, it is a bit arrogant to think it must suck. We went as far England in the last Cup, ranked close by Fifa tables too.Are we as good as England- no, prob not. Do we have a good team-yes.
The idea that Americans suck at soccer is like the steroetype that Brits all have bad teeth.Old stupid stereotype.
