Hey guys I was just wondering if Fullam are going to hold on to their two top players this year in Louis Boa Morte and Papa Bouba Diop. These guys were pretty much exceptional for Fullham all year long.Quite frankly I think that both of these players are in the top ten in their respective positions.Do you guys think that Chris Coleman will be able to hang on to these players? To pry Boa Morte will probably cost anything in excess of 10 million pounds and Bouba Diop around 7 million pounds.

I think Diop and Boamorte will stay. But Malbranque might leave as he hasn't had a great season this year and Liverpool have a long standing interest in him.

I think Papa will stay for sure. Boa Morte is being tracked down by Newcastle. I think it would take about 5-6 million pounds to get Boa. Obviously Coleman and fans such as myself do not want to lose him, but it is a possibility.
I also think Steed might be leaving as well. Perhaps to Villa or somewhere like that. I will not like it if these players go, but that is the business I guess.

Boa is my favorite player but he is not the most consistent of players although he has gotten much better with it as of late. If someone offered 6-8 million pounds for him then we would have to sell because its damn good business.
As for Diop, I also think he will stay and he may even be worth more than Boa...again, if the price is right (a.k.a. Louis Saha) then its business.
Malbranque, its a mystery what will happen to him. He has had an awful player but you know he still has the magic touch...look at him at blackburn and against Norwich. No Canary came close to even slowing him down in the slightest.
Overall, our strong finish will help keep our players...now the staff, thats another issue. Cookie is staying but he says things are going to change "behind the scenes".

Hey j-rocker,
There are plenty of fulham fans out here (America that is) if you'd like to meet 400 more then check out www.fulhamusa.com
As for Fulham, they have under-achieved and had some bad luck (injuries, ref decisions, etc) but still came out at 13th...a respectable place.
We didn't have Steeeeeeeeed for much of the season but should he go I won't be as upset as I would've been if he would've left last season.
Cheers.

I am guessing he will leave. His weekly wages are pretty high and he might not be worth the money he would want to earn. In addition, with the emergence of Collins John and Brian McBride of late, he might take his game elsewhere. We still need some depth in that position, but I am not so sure that Andy Cole will accept that role with the team. My guess is that he will end up at Blaclkburn or one of the newly promoted teams.

There is nothing wrong with a little depth and competition in the squad for spots. I like this signing!

If I could get 10m punds for for boa morte, I would sell in a second. I would keep Diop and Steed. Isn't 10 mil more than they got for Saha?

Provided you could get 10m for Boa Morte, where would you put the money? i think a stellar central defender or a stellar number ten. Maybe a Huckerby if he was released?
As I see it the roster is pretty nice:
Defense
Boca
Goma
Knight
Volz
Rosinior
Midfield
Legwinski
Pembridge
Diop
Clark
Steed
Forwards
John
Cole
Radzinski
McBride
GK

a quality left back would solve two problems because Boca could move inside. Whenever someone complains about Boca sucking out wide, we hear "well, he's a natural Center Back." If thats the case, then he helps solidify that position. If he doesnt step up, then you'll know it by Jan. and can find a replacment.

I agree Ender...if we could get 10M then, even though he's my fave, we would have to sell.
As for Saha, we got 13.75m which was a ridiculous amount for him...we had to sell at that price plus Judas (Saha) was being a cry baby and threatened the club if they did not sell.

£10M for Boa?! Don't be silly... He's apparently got a clause in his contract that will let him go for £3.5M.... Even if that's not true we will still only get £4 - 5M which is a shame really. I hope we keep him, Steed and Diop and i've got a feeling we will. Diop has already vowed to stay with us but im not so sure about Boa and Steed.
