First page!
I wanted to come up with some witty AD related post but instead I'll just say how I hope in the next season that George Michael and Maeby keep making out.

But that means no Egg, I mean, Bland, I mean Plant, I mean Ann!
It feels so good to be talking about a season three. Combined with Romber losing on Amazing Race last week this is a great feeling the last few days. Only thing that would make it better is either the Fire sacking Dave Sarachan or the Olson Twins returning my calls. :)

After al lthe Fox bashing that's gone on here, let's take a second to thank them for making this world a better place.

Glad that's over with. Now where the hell's my season 2 DVD?
How about a random quote thread in celebration?
Tobias: "Well, yes, but I’m afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, if you will, so now I’m afraid I have something of a mess on my hands."
Michael: "There are just so many poorly chosen words in that sentence."

thank fox?!?! for what? for having the ass sense to cut four previously ordered episodes off the best show on television? handing their slot to a late season addition and then unfairly cancelling that show, which has actually tuned out to be funny? finally getting with the program and renewing a show that has won every award on the planet?
oh yes, what heroic execeutives they've got

I don't remember Fox replacing AD with a funny show.

For renewing a show whose ratings, in all honesty, should equal cancellation. All the critics' praise and Emmy awards and Bigsoccer posts don't earn Fox one advertising dime, and quite frankly, the show's creators aren't going out of their way to attract new viewers with the second season's increase (in my opinion) of in-jokes and running storylines. We love them for it, but that doesn't mean advertisers will or should. Not saying Fox is in any way free from abuse: they've done a sorry, sorry job of promoting the show and the 22-to-18 thing sucked a mighty amount of ass. But I have a much bigger beef with the MILLIONS of Americans who have watched this show and have inexplicably decided not to watch again than I do with a network that's committed to another season of a more-expensive-than-most show that--honestly--will never likely find a wide audience.
Michael:" Who’s Steve Holt?"
Maeby: "He’s just the hottest guy in school. And he’s won three years in a row. Every year after his first junior year."
Michael: "So then, he’s more popular than George Michael?"
Maeby: "Well, that’s like comparing apples and some fruit nobody’s ever heard of."

1- that is a backward thinking approach, just ask NBC about the lesson learned in sticking with a super high quality low-rated show (cheers, seinfeld, etc.) - besides, i'm sure AD scores pretty well in the key 18-34 male demographic
2- no, but it earned plenty of free advertising - besides, movie studios use this kinda stuff to get people to go pay to see award winning films - unfortunately, the entire fox board doesn't have the brainpower to do anything but hit start on the microwave... apparently
3- so? do we want shows catering to what will bring viewers now?
4- advertisers... ratings.... do you know what your point is yet?
5- a big whatever - you can pawn this off on viewers, non-viewers, stupid viewers... whomever, but the weakasses at fox were the only ones cutting orders, threatening cancellation and going by the business edict "if it isn't fast and easy, it isn't worth any effort"
