There was that "Fenerbahçe" rumour flying
around, one of many rumours obviously...
But this one really picked up speed today
with a newspaper ("Le Parisien", not a usual
trusty source in these matters...) announcing
a *done-deal*: a 3 three-years contract with
Fenerbahçe.
Take it for what it is for now: a "stronger-than
most-rumour" or something.
Ps: there's a thread about this on L'OL website
forum. That's where I picked up this info.
Edit: and the same rumour also being picked
up by L'Equipe, citing the same source ("Le
Parisien"):

I thought Managers only went to Turkey after they had been fired from top jobs, not when they are up and coming talents.

Guys like Hitzfeld and Trappatoni are being mentioned for the Lyon job. These guys dont even speak French. You cant give the job to someone who cant speak French just because they have had a lot of success. These 2 guys dont know much about the French game. Im surprised they are even being mentioned and linked with the club

le guen to fenerbahce? i'll believe it when i see it. as fish said, le parisien is not exactly the most reliable source, it's closer to the national enquirer than to l'équipe! but this rumor is getting a lot of play here.
hitzfeld, trappatoni? more paparazzi stories. neither of these guys were ever under consideration, for the very reason SB333 states.

Bah.
Don't put too much stock into these rumours,
anyway. Seems this one is being denied by
both Le Guen and Fenerbahçe

I shouldn't post stuff like this so early into
"play", my fault. But, what can I say, 'tis the
season for rumours... ;)

Yep. Fener have denied the rumours on their site;

Also, isn't Daum doing a good job done there? I hardly think that getting stuffed in the cup final by Gala is going to mean he gets the chop...

How about Tigana is he good mamager :confused:great. he was the first manager to really get OL playing well, then he went to monaco, won a title, then he got fulham into the EPL. he has been on short lists to run the french national teams more than once. above all, his teams play stylish attacking football.
frankly i had hoped he would be the new coach at lyon!

Bordeaux are interested. Why not Bordeaux ? Try to build them into a Lyon type orginazation. It can be done easily. They have the fanbase and Bordeaux is a large, wealthy city. The club has had success in the past. All you need is a committed and ambitious owner who wants to spend money to win.
