Carrol or Howard?

Does it matter?

Aside from being a yank, I don't care, as long as we win.

Either one gonna start next year for Man U? Neither?

Sorry, lots of questions. Bring on Arse. Last chance for "some" dignity this season.

It seems Carroll has something on SAF... as said, as long as we win... what a season and Glazer to boot!!!!

Carroll is almost certainly gone, after not agreeing on a new contract. Howard is in the process of signing a new contract, but he'll likely be the backup given his erratic play this year. Then again, you never know what SAF is thinking.

Carroll, the back four just seem a little more confident in him than Howard.

Neither will start for us next year; I had figured Howard woudl be our backup, but his exclusion from the bench tody is odd (although it could have just been a small injury). Either way, expect Carroll & Ricardo to be gone from the club in the summer, and (hopefully, now with the Glazer takeover) somebody like Given to take the starting role.

I'm guessing Carroll. He hasn't made any big mist....eerrr....scratch that. I'm sure Timmy the way he's been in top form...eeerrr. Who the hell knows. :D

Howard's confidence has taken a beating... Carroll needs his ego retreaded: does he really think we want him to stay? So true, I have a difficult time knowing or guessing what SAF is thinking... I don't know about the players.
We need a keeper. I believe Howard may one day make 1st string keeper... but even if he does, we need one now!

Aye, no doubt Carroll will get the nod... but who knows... or wants to know?
I haven't recovered from Glazer at the moment. :D

Unfortunately, Carroll will get the nod as shown today by Tim not even dressing in kit!
I don't understand what's going on. I think SAF has really screwed him up in the head. And I hate to say this, but Carroll too. Although, Carroll is just not as good anyhow.

Tim made 2 errors all season long. On both occasions, he was pulled. I watched keeper after keeper, season after season make errors but not get pulled. SAF says Tim needs more experience. The only way you get that is by playing. Even if it cost a game or two. Champions League I can see being a bit different though.

Being a Man Utd fan far before the arrival of Tim Howard, I believe Howard is the keeper for Man U. He needs the chance to play and be allowed to make a mistake every 6 months. The more you toy with him, in and out of games, he'll just get worse because his mind will constantly be wondering if the save he made was good enough. Is his distribution proper. Is he talking enough.
A keeper cannot have this type of crap on his mind. Constantly looking over at the bench to see if your back up is warming up or SAF is starring.

I have personally been through patch like this in College. But for me, I was left in to work it out. That's what Tim needs and we need as Man U fans...or those of us who are remaining Man U fans through the take over of MG!

My personal opinion, will get a new keeper for next year but someone from a small market with consistancy. Money seems to be an issue for the club from now on with so much debt thanks to MG...or it will be at least

Look at Barthez during his stint with the club. He made a few errors, some not his but blamed on him because he is disliked so much...in my opinion, and they still won the League Title twice and made it to the Q's against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid and the Semi's against Bayer Leverkusen during his time at Man Utd.
Then, he had his best season as a professional in 2002/2003 although 2 errors that season were placed above everything else he had done, only the errors were seen and not having the best season of any EPL and European Keeper!

Point is....sometimes errors occur while trying to acheive everything. The only way to achieve everything, is by playing every minute possible

If Ferguson wants to win, then Ricardo MUST start.
