Who will win it? Both are great on offence. CSKA already disposed of Benfica in Lisboa, will lightning strike twice? Very hard to beat Sporting at home. Now that they officially can't win the SuperLiga this will be their last chance at Silverware.

2-2 Draw.

The Russians win on Penalties.

Heh....

Nah - CSKA will have to break down a tough Sporting side. I think their counter attacking style should ruffle the home team's feathers - but I think that Sporting will come through in front of a largely partisan crowd.

2-1 Sporting.

Well, all I hope for is a better game than last year's awful final.

I think CSKA will win it, but it's hard to tell. Sporting are a good team for sure, but they have more weak spots than CSKA.
OTOH, they play at home.

CSKA is the better team. But Sporting is playing at home. Which equals a very close matchup. I'm predicting 1-1 after extratime. And then you can flip a coin as to who wins in pks.

Last year's final was terrific - Yes - It would have better if Barthez hadn't stupidly cleated the forward at the end of the first half, got kicked out and resulted in a penalty shot - But the overall drama of the event made it a great match

Moskva's the winner - They find a way to win the big away games

if peseiro is smart and places moutinho as playmaker, rochemback, viana, carlos martins behind him, and custodio as d-mid like he did vs newcastle and borough, no way will cska get alot of the ball, plus liedson up front

as i see it

vanger love= liedson as sstrikers

sportings midfield>>>> CSKAS

sportings defense<<<< CSKAS\

sporting advantage in midfield because of the world class skill thy have there :)

but sportings defense is utter crap most of the time :D , especially with "Frango" ricardo

Ivica Olic, CSKA striker, broke his nose twice in the past couple of days and won't be eligible. After he had first broken his nose, he got a special mask so he could play. But on a training session he got hit by a ball on the exact same spot, so he's out.

It will be like Porto vs Celtic a couple of years ago. High paced back and forth 3-2 for either Sporting or CSKA, hopefully Sporting :o

Sporting will be the better team but CSKA somehow scores a weird goal in extra time and the Portugese will cry like a year ago in the same stadium. ;)
