Any relation to Elliot and darren? By the way I suspect our present troubles start from around that time. Look at Frank Macavenies escapades. Read Eamon Dumphies great book ( the name of which I cant remember) Everything seems to indicate a culture of playboy complacency at West ham from which we never escaped until it killed us, and if we dont go up this season we ARE dead. Its sunday morning. Ive 90 essays on the evils of imperialism to grade and we've run out of coffee. Dont expect me to be in a good mood. Especially after Anton and Jimmy's spectacular ******** up yesterday.
Bah Humbug!

FS,
I googled "Eamon Dumphies" and came up with no matches. Is the name right? I'd like to check out the book.

I believe the book is called 'Scoring at Half-Time'.

I would google it to be sure but I'll let you have that pleasure. ;)

Try Eamon Dumphy. He was a defender for Millwall and is now a journalist. He wrote a great biography of U2. With the exception of fever pitch his is possibly the best football book ever; full of spite passion and disappointed dreams.
