Dear Frends,

How can a relatively good African footballer now playing in Sweden make it to the French 1st or 2nd division?I mean a tall, strong and skillful player who can maybe play better than Michael Essein and very hungry for football success.I have heard that most French agents are very good especially in raising African football talents into the international stage.I am saying this because of what i read about the agent of Michael Essien Fabien.Accordingly,he received and hosted Michael like a son when he first came from Ghana and linked him up.So basically, eventhough majority is Mchael's success depended on his performance,Fabien played a strong role into getting him to where he is now.Is there any way i can get such a chance for an upcoming African star who's now in Sweden to play in France????

To be honnest with you, I have no idea...Perhaps you can give a go at this site (http://www.unfp.org/site/page.php), it's the French professional players union UNFP. Sorry, but it is in French.

Otherwise, take contact with some L1 or L2 clubs, you might try to enter their academy if you're young and promising enough. I don't have the links though.

Try to contact some players from the same nationality as yours, or try to convince some Ligue 2 clubs or belgian clubs to make a trial period to prove your skills. Beware of the agents, there's a lot of crooks amongst them ...

But I think that if you play real good, you're always remarked. For example I heard Bojinov, the Fiorentina player, began his carreer in Cyprus !

Any more help from anybody?I think the 2 contributions are good but not effective. This is because, even before a French club wil accept you to undertake trials, unless a known person talks to the coach and manager. And my problem rightnow is who will lead the way for me????? You see, now, you can play better football but if you don't have anybody beside you to expore your talents,it quite a hell of a problem.

How about getting an agent ?

That's how it gets done for the upper leagues unless you want to read the classifieds on France Football ... anyways a lot of teams still do trials especially the lower leagues ones ... so you may have to contact the clubs yourself if you don't want to get an agent.

maybe PanicFC on this forum may help you ... maybe.

If you can't read French, try and go to freetranslation.com for example

Basically, the article says that a lot of young african players sent e-mails to professional clubs and it worked for some of them. They succeeded in getting in the academy.

Otherwise I found this : http://www.kifoot.com/devenir-professionnel.php

I can't tell how reliable it is, but it seems serious. There's a link to register in order to find an agent.

Joueur ou club, Ki foot est le partenaire idéal :

How can a slow, unskilled, untalented American with poor work ethic get a shot at the French League....? Oh, it isn't for me that I'm asking... Just a friend of mine... :)
