I'm not really a Rugby fan....
Tennis on the otherhand...
I'll go with the boys down the round. Stade Francais

I'm going with Stade Francais because I want soccer to become big in Toulouse and if the rugby team loses maybe the town will jump off their bandwagon and get on the TFC one.

By the way this is slightly off topic but television coverage of European rugby in the USA is really really pathetic. I think all you can see is maybe England's 6 nation matches on pay per view. Fox Soccer Channel back when they were Fox Sports World used to show some 6 Nations and Heiniken Cup matches for a little while but really the only place now to follow European rugby in the US is on the net. I know almost nothing about the French rugby union except that all the teams in the top division are located in southwestern France and in Paris. I know Stade Francais is in Paris but isn't their another big Paris club called Paris Metro Racing or something ?

Since the Top 16 apparition (Top 14 next year), French rugby pro is become very qualitative, as good as Super 12 imho. We have crunched Europeans confrontations.
For the geographical repartition, yes, almost all teams are located in south.
Metro racing is in Pro D2 (Top 14 is not for next year).
The good new for Lyonnais is the apparition of the LOU in Top 14 next year)

1) I'm a rugby fan, but I mostly support XV de France (since club rugby is non-existent in eastern France).
2) I'd say Toulouse for cultural reasons. Paris is just a mercenary team, while Toulouse is a traditionnal ground for rugby.

I almost missed this thread !
I guess I don't have to answer the question, my login is quite explicit ! :D
Allez le Stade, le seul, le vrai, le Stade Toulousain !!!
This is the best game ever for a final, even I would have also liked a game against an English team.
These two teams will certainly meet again in semifinal or final fo the French Championship
Toulousains ! Toulousains ! Toulousains ! Toulousains !

no, it would be pointless. In european rugby cup, we use brits only as training dummies. The only purpose for their presence is warm up, just before the real competition (ie, games between french teams) begins.

LOL, Very objective point of view :D :D
I already said that but : Allez Toulouse, you're the best !
That's nothing better than Toulouse center town after a Stade Toulousain big win !

Yeah of course
95/96 - Cardiff 18-21 Toulouse (aet)
96/97 - Brive 28-9 Leciester
97/98 - Bath 19-18 Brive
98/99 - Ulster 21-6 Colomiers
99/00 - Northampton 9-8 Munster
00/01 - Leicester 34-30 Stade Francais
01/02 - Leicester 15-9 Munster
02/03 - Toulouse 22-17 Perpignan
03/04 - Wasps 27-20 Toulouse
My math isn't great - but that's still 4-2 to us in finals....and one of them was in extra-time.
Oh and seeing as you said BRITS - I'm counting Ulster. After all, the Ulster counties are still part of Great Britain. ;)

1) in rugby, only the spirit matters, math and reality are irrelevant. The last England-France game, during six nations, was a target practice for Yashvili.
2) Well done, Ganu : another flamming topic for Bigsoccer forums ! (alongside with "Bush is a genius/moron", "Americans are the superior race choosen by God" and "my sport is better than yours"). Ta-dam ! You should post a copy in the politics thread, it will add to your rep :p .

1) yes, yes of course....
Now please tell me the score during the game that mattered, the 2003 WC?
Also, please tell me the score when Wales played France at the Stade de France this year... I mean BRITISH teams are the training dummies of French rugby no?
2) I might just do that, but I hardly consider rugby a flamming topic, more clear statement of fact. Plus, Ulster is part of GB.... Just like Corsica is part of France. ;) :p
Even you don't count their win - it's still 3-2 to us......so :p
