Just curious, but does anybody have any idea what will happen to the players of Man U? will this idiot start selling some of his stars so that he can pay off some of the debt, or will he not have the balls to do that?

His son claims they'll stay. But it's up to him really.

I think he wants to sell Ryan (most decorated player in our club's history) Giggs first.

Glazer will eat them, one by one, for his evening meal. Starting with the reserves.

My guess is that you will see the "big" names stay but a clear out in the sqaud of the highly paid "utility" players - Phil Neville (£50k a week) and Miller (£40k a week) should be buffing up their CV's right now if they have any sense.....

Jeez, I don't think that amassing a fortune and buying ManU means that he is an idiot. It may actually suggest that he is not an idiot. Perhaps he is a clever and successful businessman?

I am sure that all the players will be fired and replaced with chorus girls so that the "theater of dreams" can stage shows like a real theater.

There will be no big sell off because there is no need for it. Certainly there are some players that a dispassionate analysis would indicate are past it and should be sold to recoup any residual value. I think that Giggs and Keane could fall into this category, Scholes hasn't exactly covered himself with glory lately and time marches on.

Like every other majority shareholder ManU has had for the past decade?

Couple that with O'Neill's comments from today about being unsure of his future at Celtic...

Uh, wouldn't selling Miller show that someone knows what they are doing?

That's not such a bad thing, it's what's been called for on this board for months! Now, what is Glazer's agenda with the club? That is what has me truly worried. Getting rid of PNev, Miller and the rest of the overpaid dead weight will be a good thing in the end.

And it's something that more than likely would have happened without Glazer anyway -the club had made it clear to Fergie that he needed to trim the squad and take some pressure off the wage bill before he brought in any new players.....

Glazer is very smart from a business standpoint...he's smart enough to know he doesn't know enough to meddle with ManU's player roster himself. I doubt we'll see any significant changes at all in players, just in how the team is sold.
