Why do Man U fans hate Glazer, or are opposed to him owning the team? I've read that they are afraid he'll raise ticket prices, possibley sell the stadium and only want to buy Man U for financial reasons? Are they any basis for these fears?

You're best off going to the United forums or other websites for a full view.

Glazer is though likely to saddle the club with huge amounts of debt, and his record with Tampa Bay is not exactly the model for sustained success.

Does Glazer even have a passion for soccer or is this just another business endevour? At least Roman Abramovich previously owned a football team and has a passion for the sport. That's where my concern comes in.

Arrogant brit you don't like him because he's AMERICAN. Glazer will make the Manchester Reds the biggest brand in the world then move them to the USA where they'll dominate world soccer for the next 50 years.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there Chet. I think a lot of Manchester Union fans dislike him simply because he is a "Yank". I don't know what their problem is, I actually like the brits. I go over there sometimes on holiday. The only problem is, is that they drive on the wrong side of the road.

The fact that Glazer is an American has little to do with it. The fact that said American has no connection with the Club and that He's about to saddle the club with £540m worth of debt has quite a lot to do with it. The interest payments on the debt will be around £46m a year, which considering Manchester United's profits last Year were less the £20m makes many supporters wonder where the money will come from.

That's proven by the fact that every time anyone mentions American football to us arrogant Europeans the very name Tampa Bay springs to mind...

Nah, seriously, it has something to do with the financial viability of the move, and something to do with the fact that the British like to keep their stuff British... that's understandable, though... say a crazy French millionaire bought the LA Lakers... the Clippers'd be the biggest team in town overnight...

I hate Manchester , I hope he buys the whole team( including the crowd) so Manchester can have a fanancial crisis in 3 years, sell all their players and go to second Division!
Lol!
As for the real football is concern, no ugly fat Cowboy should buy teams from Europe, to earn more benefit and satisfy his ''lucrative needs'' its not his concern, we all have our history! we dont want are teams to be a money game for rich hamburguers like Mr "GLACED""
Manchester should do something about that, like threat him to do 5 push-ups
with two hands or making eat a Granola Bar!

What is it about the word "sustained" that you don't understand?
