I dunno. French league is getting richer. I bet they start keeping more players than in the past.

Poor Tony... does he still play for Bastia? It's only a matter of time before he drops into L2. Maybe he'll go back to Nancy next year. Who knows. To think he used to be a hot European commodity. 8 caps for France.... Ridiculous.

Yepes has been one of Ligue 1 best defenders post Xmas. No doubt. Pauleta has had a rather incositent season.
JR, has been out too long, to make a impact - but of course he is quality.
I would also note, Benjani, Cheyrou, Bolf, Kalou, Taino and Akale of Auxerre. They have all impressed me.
Also Landrin, Moussilou, Bodmer, Makoun and Brunel of Lille.

http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/NOTES_D1.html Thanks, that helps a lot. I'm looking at getting more into the French league, since I can read French, it's a rising league, and it's available on TV in the US.

Lionel has a good year, saving our perrenial bacon a few times.
I must admit, I am a big fan of Danic down in Grenoble, and Kone for that matter.
