Spoony from 606 phone in on BBC said the coach just said they will sign him for next year.
Anyone else hear the post game interviews?

I say we play him until he's 50. If he'd just stand at the halfway line and play those perfectly weighted passes to players making a run, he'd earn his keep. No one ever weighted a pass like DB10.

Re: Bergkamp - One More Season
I think it's obvious where my heart stands with this issue. I do agree with many of you that I don't want him to stay if it will affect the developement of the other young players. A few things to consider:
1) It goes without saying (and I'm sure it will be discussed come contract time) that he won't have a full time role with the club. His age and health won't allow it. If that means he starts 1/3 of the matches at best, so be it. I don't see how this would greatly affect the progression of the team.
2) Wenger has always stated that he will start the best club to win on that given day. If he feels DB10 gives him a better chance, he will play him. If AW gets another frontline striker, obviously DB10 won't play as much. If AW feels it's better to start RvP or JAR than to start DB10, he will do so....
3) ...and HAS. It seems the transition has already started. RvP & JAR have been getting more of the starts lately and DB10 is coming off the bench more often than not. And this was with TH14 not playing at all through this stretch & 2nd place still up for grabs.
4) He is still a great player. I believe his recent form has more to do with timing than his skill. I saw him play one of his best games (vs ManPU at Highbury) and by far his worst (vs Bayern Munich) in a 6 week span. Both games weren't too long ago. I'm not saying he should start every game (or even half of them), but to assume he's 'lost it' is absurd. There has to be a reason why TH14 still prefers DB10 partnering him up front.
:D <-- This smile doesn't do my grin justice.
P.S. Was I the only one to wish Dennis a happy birthday yesterday? HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME!!!!!

Dear Mr. Bergkamp,
Thank you, from the very bottom of my heart, for teaching me to love football. And, more importantly, for teaching me to love Arsenal.
