So I was out in suburban Philadelphia with our resident Chelsea fan (eddieba26) earlier tonight having a few drinks. At the end of the night we were shooting the sh!t getting ready to leave when some guy stands up, looks at Eddie in his Chelsea jacket, says, "Chelsea sucks," and proceeds to sing, "Tottenham Hotspur." Sad to say both Eddie and I were too shocked to even come back with anything better than him saying, "I was a Chelsea fan before you were born."

Have the Yids crossed the ocean and invaded PA???

"Invaded" is the wrong word. I think "infested" might be more appropriate.

Actually, when I was living in Pittsburgh and going to Piper's Pub all the time, there used to be a couple of Brits there who were Sp*rs supporters. They used to come to watch Arsenal matches on the off-chance we might lose. I never once saw them leave happy.

I was stunned silent. I mean after being there for an hour the guy finally opened up his mouth as we were leaving, I was just stunned.

I mean, Arsenal, Chelsea, ManU, you expect to, or at least aren't surprised by seeing their supporters, but the Yids? Christ, we just laughed our asses off.

i saw somehting funnier

there was a mother, a father and a kid
the kid is wearing an Arsenal shirt, and the parents are both wearing Tottenham shirts
and the parents called their child "scum" and the child called his parents "scum"

is that normal behaviour in England?

Actually, in thinking about it, here are a few creative responses for Arsenal supporters should this situation come up in the future:

- "Congratulations on being the fourth-best club in London."

- "Our trophy cases are a little full right now. Can we borrow one of yours, just until the Grove is finished?"

- "What have you won? Where are your Premiership Winners' Medals?" (rep for anyone who gets the reference)

- (hold up a map of Europe) "I saved you the trouble and found this for you."

- "Sol Campbell called. He wanted me to tell you how much of a difference one mile makes."

- "If it's OK, I'd like to go ahead and book the trophy-clinching party at White Hart Lane for next season."

Actually, more credit to him for being a Spurs supporter. He's not some fairweather fan, and since it has been 43 some years since they won the Double, he can only be a Spurs fan out of loyalty. I'm not saying you should talk to him, because it's hard to talk with Spurs fan (they're so consumed by jealousy and resentment), but he should get credit.

Speaking fraternizing with the enemy, n4100 (or Nick) and I went out drinking last night. I had on a Chelsea shirt he picked up at the Bridge for me in Jan and I also had a Chelsea jacket with me. Which Nick commented several times was "really, really nice". At one point, while we were getting up to go to another bar, he actually put it on! Swear on my dog's life the Gooner put it on. When we got the other bar though, after several more drinks, and last call, and girls with dimples above the butts, this kind starts singing "Tottenham Hotspur". Nick and I were so shocked (and appalled at this moron) that we really had nothing to say. We just stood there stunned. We should have punched the kid in the for just looking stupid, but to be a Yid on top of it?? Next week we decided we're going in full on gear. Of course, well probably look stupid with my Dennis Wise jersey and his Tony Adams jersey sitting next to each other, but atleast he'll know we'll whoop his ass. Imagine the nerve of that under-21 looking mofo.

No no no...he got ALL the credit in the world from us. We even said that in the parking lot later. We actually wanted to know HOW he became a Spurs fan. We were just in shock because, most Americans are either Man U, Liverpool, Arse or now Chelsea. Don't get us wrong though, we gave the kid credit.

His dad was probably English and his son saw sense in following the mighty Lillywhites. My son at 17 months has a Tottenham Kit, ball and will be going to his first game at the Lane this Xmas when we go back to visit. COYS!!

You should have put this on the rivalry board so i could give you one of my favorite songs. if interest go to the rivaly board and read the thread that winston smith just posted on.

NO! That's like saying, "Sorry I screwed your girlfriend. I was drunk so it is OK".
