Should any of you Gooners find yourself in San Diego on FA Cup Final day (May 21, next Saturday), please join me at Shakespeare's Pub on India Street.
We're ALWAYS outnumbered by Mancs, and it got bloody when they knocked us out during last season's semi final (there were 3 of us there - me, my wife, and my sister). In any event, feel free to PM me if you're coming.

I was sitting up front with my brand new Arsenal shirt for the semi final last year at Shakespeare's. One of the Mancs gave me the stink eye. Left the place very depressed. I am planning to be there again this time.

It was pretty ugly - if anyone cares, I'll probably have a Bergkamp jersey on (this year's home kit). My kid sister usually rocks her new Fabregas jersey, so if you see Dennis and Cesc together, that's us.

I live about 15-20 minutes from the Shakespeare, but have never watched a game there. How early is the FA cup Final gonna be? I'm not really a morning person.

I believe the match is at 6am (semi last year was at 3am - ugh). I'd call to doublecheck.

I actually think the Final will be at 8 AM on the West Coast because I seem to remember it starts at 10 here, but don't quote me on that.

I checked it, the final is at 15:OO in the UK and i'm pretty sure that means 7 am Pacific time.

Um, this is the FA CUP FINAL!!!! Not a match against Norwich. Get up out of bed and start drinking heavily.

I second this you big baby-jeezalou Antifan (Oh I get the name now! ) Just don't go to bed and continue drinking and protect Splara10's family from the viciously disappointed Mancs......... ;)

Przybylinski - love to have you sir.
Thing is, the mancs (nearly all ex pats) at the pub are usually fine, but they get especially agitated when playing the arsenal. The semi last year was rife with cheering for fouls on Gunners and screaming plenty of fun obscenities at the screen ("take that you french _ _ nts" was a fave). Given how few of us were present, it was a bit much.
When the unbeaten streak was lost in the fall, my kid sister nearly got lost it with some old brit manc that gets especially rowdy.
I have a secret weapon that I'm bringing along - I'll bust it out when I think we need a lift.
Antifan - sleep in, tivo it, whatever. all love, no judgement. well, a little judgement, but not much.

An extra incentive - any Gunner who shows up and seeks me out gets a beer (or whatever you like to drink in the AM) on me. No questions.

I'll try to make it, but no promises, i'm notoriously flaky, especially when it comes to waking up early. If i do make it i'll be wearing my red Arsenal sweatshirt, and i'll definitely come find you for that free drink. ;)

Przybylinkski is a GREAT guy! Take good care of him, splara10.
Dude....I wish we were there to back you up. I never feel uneasy running with my fellow Chicago Gooners. We are always a loud, fun, and family like bunch. Ask, billyho, I'm usually a fun loving guy, but some Manc said F#$% You! And I looked at him like you wanna go, buddy?
If Mancs start cussing out the lads and especially because of them being French....1st, I'll laugh because one of THE biggest MUFC legends is French (Cantona)! 2nd, I'll get ticked off...my wife is 1/2 French and trust me, she looks French.

I think I love you. We really need to hang out and see a match together. We would get in a lot of trouble...lol.

The last match my wife and I were there with splara10's wife and sister and there was an insane amount of mancs there. It really sucked watching that match with all of them, so right now we look like there will be a bunch of us, but we need more. Let's keep working on getting as many there as possible.
