"Adu was selected ahead of New England Revolution midfielder Clint Mathis and FC Dallas' Ronnie O'Brien for the weekly award. The Honda Major League Soccer Player of the Week is selected every week throughout the MLS regular season by a panel of journalists from the Professional Soccer Reporters Association (PSRA)."
Did Mathis get traded and no one knew it? Kind of sad that the people at MLS can't tell the difference between Clint Dempsey and Clint Mathis.

Apparently, they're so used to Mathis just missing out on awards that it's a macro down at MLS HQ...
