My boss inivited me to go with him to E3 in a week. I'm really excited, and hopefully I'll get to play a demo of FIFA 2006 or WE 9. I'll let you know if I can get some info on any soccer games.

That is great man. My brother offered to get me in last year, but I would have had to fly out to LA.

Have fun, and get as much swag as you can. Also, pictures with booth babes. ;)

I remember the two years I was able to go as a member of the press. Those were good times.
Also crashed the Sega party twice. That rocked.

What did I learn about soccer games at E3? Absolutely nothing. Soccer was almost totally ignored (as far as I saw). There was a Mario Soccer game for Nintendo, which I didn't play. EA didn't have FIFA 06, they just had an enormous screen showing clips of their games. The clip of FIFA was Ronaldinho juggling the ball, which was pretty cool.

I heard the swag from E3 was pretty pathetic this year, more so than the year prior.
Oh well.

What was pathetic was Nintendo's and Sony's booths. The PS2 stuff was cool, but neither Sony nor Nintendo had anything playable for their new systems. You had to wait in line for 1 1/2 hours, which of course I did not do. Xbox 260 was playable and kick ass. I played the new Need For Speed which looks impressive, but not blow doors down impressive. It's gonna be a good system, but the developers will need to learn how to max out it's capabilities. Xbox outclassed everyone else at the show.

Konami was sweet, because they had a bunch of classic collections to play... I love playing Street Fighter!
