Its a whole 2 page aticle about the
LS vs USL teams. Its the most soccer coverage this team has ever had in the newspaper. Check todays sun for the full article.

I'll be having lunch with DIck Howard this week for his take on it and also with Craig Forrest next month as well to see how his new position of CSA chairman of 07 is going.

Is sunshine girl ugly today? If so I will not buy it! LOL! Anysway when you do see Dick ask him if going to do the World Cup 2006 coverage for the Sun again. I like to see which "Goal of day" he picks and drawings just like he did in the 1990 World Cup. A 2 page article is not the must the Sun had cover for Soccer. Every World Cup/Euro Cup there is aleast a 30 page pullout. Lets see what it says about the MLS v. USL.

What can it say about MLS v USL? First off MLS is the best soccer in the US
at the moment and USL is far from that. MLS teams play in professional parks
while the USL play in high school football fields. MLS attendance is far
superior to USL (bigger stadiums help, but not too many would fill a stadium
to watch a USL game). MLS will survive long term, USL keep losing clubs, and
their days maybe numbered.

Dick Howard mention that if the Lynx and MLSE can co-exist they can make a farm system like the NHL and AHL, by using the same venue. Kevin Pipe also said both teams can co-exist.

If there is a farm system in Toronto it would be the start of a true pro-sport team for soccer in Ontario and maybe the rest of Canada like Montreal and Vancouver.

The Lynx and MLS co-exist? Sounds good. But the competition for the Toronto sports buck is tough. You have the competition, Leafs,AHL Leafs,
Rock,Raptors, Blue Jays,Argos that might be too much for the Toronto
sports fan.
