2 choices for DC fans. :) Josh's was a great team goal. Freddy added individual effort to Wingert's slip. Take your pick at www.mlsnet.com.

I voted for Josh too (currently 54%) who is leading Freddy (currently 22%).

If it had been on Johnnie Walker, of course, Freddy's would easily get my vote, but it had to be Josh.

Josh's goal was a better goal, but I would have liked to vote for Freddy's just because of my wish that more forwards here would try to break down defenses one-on-one more often.

Josh's goal was simply football at it's best. Awesome build up and finish.

No need to choose.
Vote Josh for the goal, and Freddy for Man of the Match of the week.
Currently both are leading by a lot. Yippee

I voted for Gros - that goal was beautiful. From the build-up to the header, it was sweet. Could be in the running for Goal of the Year, IMHO.

Sadly, I haven't seen anything yet that beats Ronnie O'Brien's goal against the goats. Holy crap.

Freddy's goal deserves the votes because it was the best individual display of any of the nominated goalscorers. Gros' goal was nice both for the finish and the buildup - but notwithstanding Josh's nice run and well-placed header - the nicest part of the sequence was Freddy's pass behind the defense to Olsen.

The interesting part of the Gros goal (at least to me) is that from the footage it appears Gros is the one who starts the play...gets the ball on the left, cuts to the middle shakes of a Crew player, dishes to Freddy, who's pass to Benny is brilliant...mean while Gros floats to the middle of the box and receives Benny's excellent cross.
It really is a great play...and excellent work by Gros to start and finish everything.

Yeah but the best part was Josh slamming it home with his head. Even as strong as he hit it, Busch got a piece of it. If Josh doesn't give it everything the could the game would have been much different.

Well half of that is taken care of: Freddy is indeed the player of the week, the league's youngest ever at 15 years old, and the first teenage POTW since Beasley in 2001. He was 19 then; Donovan won it that year as well at 19 as did Quaranta and he was 16 then.
Good stuff for Trivial Pursuit or Quizzo I suppose.

Yeah, that was good but did Busch really get a finger on it?
BTW, Prideaux's shot on the breakaway would have counted - if it was in a shootout and that pesky defender hadn't gotten in the way.
BRING BACK THE SHOOTOUT!!
