Convey hasn't made it to the subs bench in quite some time. That's why he had an extended period with the National Team leading up to the Mexico match.

a few months back Coppell essentially stated he was sticking with the side he was familiar with for the rest of the campaign, and would re-evaluate the rest of the squad (i.e., Convey) for the next season.
