Cant wait.. :D
Today we guarenteed our participation in the UEFA cup next season for the first time in our history :)
My dad told me 15 years ago when a was 5/6 that when the Wanderers made it to Europe we'd go to the first away match, this while were in the lesser divisions and thought it would never happen... today my dad got a phone call from me asking when hes booking the tickets to this magical place called "europe"
When done Bolton, what a fantastic season with a great reward :)
See you in 05/06 UEFA

He'll blame the ref for us being eliminated against the 2nd team in the latvian league ;)

I admit I don't know much about Bolton, but I have a coupla questions
How good has Hierro been for them this season? I'd appreciate an answer that goes beyond 'good' or 'competent'. I always liked him as a player but I couldn't stomach him as a person. I don't think age has improved that. Does he still treat the ref as if he owned the place?
Is it gonna be much of a loss (today he announced he's retiring at the end of the season) towards Bolton's European campaign?
Thanks in advance

Good luck Bolton, one of the teams I want to do well in the Premiership and in Europe. :)

He's been pretty good. He sits in front of the back four and breaks up the opposition attacks. His job is very similar to what Ivan Campo does for us but Hierro is more composted on the ball and has a better range of passing. Bear in mind he's only really played in the first team for the past couple of months so It's debatable if he could last a season. It'll be a shame for him to retire but I don't think a replacement should be too hard to find because although he's very good at his role the extent of his role and contribution is restricted due to his age.

I am not a fan of Bolton but I have a friend who loves the team. Good luck to them.

Hierro has been kind of a mentor to our younger players. He's been solid in play for the most part, but nothing to write home about. He'll be missed because of his experince. Sam wanted him to stay one more year, but no dice.
And Prenn, we need to convince the trotters to come to the states, I would fly anywhere in the country to see them play.
